Is it the prettiest or the fastest on the track? No. Am I racing and having fun? Hell yes i am

People who wear the rib protectors without chest plates, are you not concerned by missing chest coverage and possible impact from steering wheel in case of crash ?
For safety, you want absolute best, so chest plate one is no brainer. However, i see many people use the rib only protector without chest plate and there's plethora of them in market even from best brands. so that means that just rib protection should be good enough and my concern is probably not valid.
So want to know from the people using the standard rib protection only if the steering wheel impact concern is genuine or just my phobia ?
I tightened it down as much as i could. What do i need to fix or replace?
Mostly just zip tie mine 9 inches behind the king pin per the rules. However, I have a purchased mount that’s fallen off before.
Care to show me how you do yours?
I’m planning to do a track day at Karting Genk on July 20, but I need to find a team that’s willing to rent out a race kart for me, and I can’t seem to find any options. I’ve tried contacting GKS and VDK racing, but they’ve both ghosted me. Does anyone know any teams that offer race kart rentals for track days at karting Genk?
I have a race on four stroke kart next month but I've not done much karting also I also want to know about what's neutral steer when to use it do we need to use it all the time? Or sometimes we can rely on the steering wheel as well and if we need to apply sometimes then at what times do I need to use neutral steer and when to use steering only
It doesn’t seem like they make a mirrored tint for my specific helmet which is a necessity for me. Does anyone have experience or know if it’s a good idea for me to try to tint the visor myself?
I need an honest answer from the guys in this sub, because I genuinely don’t get the psychology behind it.
I recently jumped into X30 racing and picked it up super fast. My background is in motocross, where there’s a massive amount of mutual respect because nobody wants a broken neck. We raced hard, but clean.
But since switching to X30, it’s a whole different story.
Because I’m fast, I constantly get targeted on the track. I’ve been chopped, shoved, and literally rammed off the track by guys who seem to completely lose their minds the second a girl overtakes them.
We’re talking high-speed karts here. It’s dangerous.
Honestly, it sucks. I am so sad that I never get to actually show my true potential, because almost every single race gets ruined by this. On top of that, it's getting incredibly expensive because my kart gets damaged every single weekend just because someone couldn't handle their own ego.
So, what is it? Is the ego really that fragile? Why does getting beaten by a female driver turn clean racing into a demolition derby for some of you? I just want to understand why guys frustration has to ruin my races, destroy my equipment, and make the track unsafe for me.
Have a friend who’s getting back into karting after a long break. He’s got a good sense of humour and I thought I’d see if anyone else has some suggestions? Some tips to help out? Thanks in advance ;)
After racing 10yrs in rentals and 6yrs in my own karts I came to the conclusion that I was too old to want to spend entire weekends at the race track. With that realization I started trying to win as many different leagues champions as I could. I had 5 tracks within driving distance of my house so I just started picking off locations to participate in. 10 years later I’m still enjoying rental racing and the challenges that driving a turd to a win brings without spending huge money or time. I love that everyone is going to experience a great karts and turds that requires you to just make the best. I think over a season it’s a great way to see who the best drivers are because theoretically everyone’s kart draws equal out over 10 to 12 races.
My gloves used to be completely white- they're actually turning grey at this point after roughly one year of usage...Am I supposed to get a new pair of gloves now or does anyone here know how to wash these? I know these symbols say do not wash but then how do I clean these? Help would be greatly apreciated! :)

I'm preparing for an upcoming endurance race and need some advice on the best and safest ways to add substantial ballast to meet the minimum weight requirements. In both cases, I am short by about 53–55 lbs.
Carrying 50+ lbs off weight for a long stint sounds like a recipe for extreme fatigue
Trying to sell a CRG Road Rebel, with a TM KZ Shifter engine. In great condition, minimal use. And have had zero interest. Have a heap of spares to go with it, 1 brand new set of wet tires on rims and a set of brand new soft tires on rims, spare exhaust etc. I’m asking 6200. Has a brand new tillett seat etc. is there just no market for KZs here ? Cheers
Just a fun little activity, this community seems to be full of all sorts of people with all sorts of experience so I was just wondering how different the answers would be
Hey everyone, I've just recently over the past 6 or so months started owner karting, I drive KA3 Junior Heavy (I'm in AUS not US). Being on a budget, and having to maintain my own kart, I was curious if I should try out buying my own tools, and doing my own top end rebuilds, or let the shop handle it. I recently had a shop do it for me as it was due for it, but $1000 was just to expensive for me, yes it included the carby tune, dyno, etc, but not everyone's rich, and I know there's going to be about 45 million people say "That's just the cost of karting" When you can buy a piston kit for probs, like $300. I'm only doing local club days as of now, and I have experience with engines just not a KA100, it wouldn't be my first teardown though. Is it worth the extra "Performance" to get a shop to do it or, do I just do it myself?
Although I do know tools aren't gonna be cheap, torque wrench alone is like $300 for an actually accurate one... I Think lol.
