Everyday Mini Cards? Hang Your Kayou KPDH on Your Bag Now!
Kayou KPDH Mini Card Series 1 is now officially open for pre-order, and the full card list has been revealed! The main idea this time is a smaller card size compared to the previous Classic and Energy series—making them perfect for everyday carry. Plus, they’ve dropped plenty of new card artwork! Let's break down whether this set is full of sincerity or just another lazy cash grab.
First, here's the box configuration:
- 3 cards/mini box, 36 mini boxes/box, 8 boxes/case
- That means 108 cards per box and 864 cards per case.
- Box dimensions: 70 * 166 * 18.5 mm
- The entire set features ONLY Huntr/X and Saja Boys, with the exception of one Chibi lenticular card featuring Derpy and Sussie. No other characters are included.
- The set includes 5 rarity tiers, featuring 41 base cards plus 2 PR cards.
SSR (Super Spark Rare) - 15 Types
The lowest rarity in the Mini Card series, featuring movie screenshots—including some fun meme moments! The overall layout resembles a tiny TV screen showing a variety show.
My Rating: 3/5 — Meets expectations. A few artworks are pretty funny, especially the one where Qinyu and Rumi are in the same frame, lol.
HR (Holo Rare) - 9 Types Lenticular Chibi cards with super cute art! There's a pre-punched hole in the top left corner so you can easily attach a strap to hang it on your bag or phone. The card itself is designed to look like a retro flip phone. My absolute favorite is, of course, the Zoey one and the Derpy & Sussie one.
My Rating: 3.5/5 — Very fun design.
LR (Legacy Rare) - 8 Types Polaroid-style cards featuring a cute, anime/manga art style. Personally, I really dig this aesthetic! Zoey looks natural in this style, and it actually makes the Saja Boys a bit more appealing to me.
My Rating: 4/5 — Better than expected.
SP (Special) - 6 Types 2D versions of the Huntr/X trio (2 cards per member). The borders are styled like a music/media player, with background elements and accessories matching the character's expression. Overall, nothing really blew me away though.
My Rating: 2.5/5 — Just passing. Though if I manage to pull those two Zoey cards, I might bump the score up a bit!
CR (Creative Rare) - 3 Types Hard to judge right now. Artwork-wise, it just shows the three Huntr/X members singing. The logo will likely feature refractive or glitter effects in person, so it’ll probably look better in hand than in screenshots. Feels pretty similar to the BP cards from the Energy series.
My Rating: 2.5/5 — Average.
PR (Promo) - 2 Types Features a unique comic style... I'm personally not a big fan of this art direction, but I've seen other fans who really like it, so I'll leave it at that. Also, there's no official word yet on how to obtain the PR cards.
Overall, the Mini Card series is quite small and doesn't feature numbered serials. You can easily pull your chase cards after just a few boxes, and completing a master set shouldn't be too difficult. That said, this set experiments with several different art styles!
