My thoughts on her self-titled

Tbh if she was gonna do all these collabs, there was definitely better collabs she could’ve done - Mya, a 90s&2000s queen, woulda made sense to me since Lani was referencing a lot of old r&b tones with this album! There was India Shawn, she could’ve collaborated with Syd and/or Jhene Aiko again, Janelle Monae, etc., just a flavorful of upcoming and established r&b artists to choose from rather than the final product.

I feel like some were just not needed and necessary lol…..T-Pain, Usher, Lil Wayne, Lil Jon, Big Sean??? Honestly the album could’ve been fine without them. I feel like if an artist is going to stuff so many features, you gotta make it make sense and those rappers just didn’t make sense for them on there.

However, I did enjoy Clipse, Brandy, Missy Elliott, and esp Leon Thomas on there!!

I also love love love the album cover and the color palette they chose! Chefs kiss tbh it was a beautiful album cover. These are just my thoughts and opinions!

Kehlani Record w/ Signed Insert For Sale

I have an opened but never played copy of the new Kehlani record that I’m trying to sell at retail $45 shipped. I got this thinking it was the only pressing then she went off and made 4 variants😂

Not looking to sell for a profit, just wanna sell to another Kehlani fan at retail

Included my Discogs listing for transparency but willing to sell directly via PM (Discogs charges 9% for sales, hence the extra $5 on Discogs)

Favorite Feature?

I could tell so many of these features on the Kehlani album were crafted for the artists selected.

I love how Lil Wayne opened the album. I share them way she described her interest in Lil Wayne during her recent Apple interview.

Knowing that she arranged so much of those vocals for her song with Brandy...

Her final draft with Usher is excellent. Very repeatable. Very catchy. Very melodic.

Sweet Nuthins is similar. Very demure. Very melodic.

Cardi delivered an excellent verse for Pocket.

What did y'all think? What did you like most about any of the features?

(I split the album into two discs: one disc with features and one disc without features. Can we please stick to productively discussing the features disc only? 🙏)
