Drake responds to Kendrick Lamar on his recent album 😳😳😳😳😳
"Ooh wee, they say he something like the 70s, but I'm from '87; With a thousand dimes, you got 80 sevens" - Dot
The song playing in this video is Terrace Martin's Thirsty.

Anyone been listening to Icemam?
Been listening to Kendrick Lamar since 2020 and loved GNX. Ive been waiting for ICEMAN since the hype has been so much and honestly ive been loving it, not really enjoyed any other Drake project before and i apologise if im breaking a rule here, im not here to talk about the beef, just wondering if any Dot fans have been listening and what we think
please save any hate to either artist unless you have listened, this is not about the beef, although Drake def be a little corny for how muvh he talks about it
What’s your Eminem deep cut
Someone explain why people want these Kendrick and Cole to dislike each other so bad?
They been mentioning each other positively for years so why the fans keep wanting them against each other.
NLU got beat by MTC. Let's talk about it...
I do not really care about streaming numbers like that tbh. But the delusional victory lap over this is genuinely hilarious. It is not even that deep, but seeing people act like Make Them Cry barely passing Not Like Us' peak streaming day somehow proves something forced me to make the point.
MAKE THEM CRY
Make Them Cry pulled 13.2M on day one, edging out Not Like Us' 12.809M peak. Fair enough. But those numbers do not exist in the same context.
- Album Drake teased for almost 2 years
- Cryptic posts since August 2024
- 100 Gigs EP
- 4 livestream episodes
- The Toronto ice sculpture stunt
- Surprise triple-album drop
- First Drake solo album since 2023
- First solo project after losing the beef, so there was a built-in curiosity factor
- Album opener, ppl tuning in to hear what the loser of the 2024 beef has to say.
NOT LIKE US
- Saturday surprise release
- YouTube exclusive first
- Hit streaming hours later
- Standalone single
- No album
- No campaign
- No rollout
Not Like Us still became the record Drake just barely passed.
WHAT PEOPLE KEEP MISSING
- Not Like Us did not hit 12.809M on day one.
- It hit that on day six
- Per Spotify Stats, it went from 7.8M on day one
- Then 10.986M on day two
- Then peaked at 12.809M around May 10
- The song grew culturally with hype
- There was no album push behind it
- There was no rollout carrying it
- There was no 43-track project feeding streams into it
That is the difference. Make Them Cry needed every ounce of its setup to do 13.2M on day one. Not Like Us grew organically to 12.809M with almost nothing behind it. Grew culturally, and before anyone mentions the "removed streams"... Stick with the FACTS 🧊🦉there's no removed streams from NLU and no confirmed bot streams. Drake alleged 30m streams were botted in the lawsuit... Wonder how he has that number?... I'm sure Drake bought those streams so he could have some shit to talk about on Iceman. Now that's a commendable chess move instead of the "I fed you the information but I have no proof". 😂
WACCED OUT MURALS COMPARISON
For the Wacced Out Murals comparison some fans bring up:
- GNX was a true surprise drop
- No singles
- No teasers (apart from a video 30 minutes before dropping the album)
- No traditional rollout
- It pulled 7.75M day one completely cold
That is basically the floor for an intro track about Drake with zero promo behind it.
So when you compare it properly:
- Make Them Cry did 13.2M with nearly 2 years of setup
- Wacced Out Murals did 7.75M with zero setup
That gap is the setup effect Drake fans are pretending does not exist. Lmao.
THE LONGEVITY
And this is what Not Like Us did:
- 53 weeks on the Hot 100
- Longest-charting rap song in Billboard hisory
- #1 on the Hot 100 three separate times: Dbut, video premiere, post-Super Bowl
- First non-holiday song to hit #1 three separate times with multi-month gaps between runs
- Fastest rap song to 100M, 200M, 300M, 400M, 500M, 600M, and 700M Spotify streams
- Most streams in a week by a rapper: 81.2M
- Broke Old Town Road's record for most weeks atop Hot Rap Songs
- Hit 1B Spotify streams in around 8 months
- Currently at 1.9B+ streams
Day-one streams measure the setup. Longevity measures the song. Ask about Make Them Cry in 18 months 👋
Am I wrong
Is Drake tryna shoot a shot at Kendrick with
Memories of where we used to live, but truth be told I can't even see the block/
It's blocked by the tree tops
Cedar Block???
