Me and my wife are considering moving to Renton. Currently renting in Seattle, we want to purchase our first home as we plan on starting a family. So far, Fairwood neighborhood attracts us given our budget.

We are of Indian (asian) origin ourselves. We want to ensure us and our future kids have some social life with the Indian community wherever we plan to settle. Looking forward to inputs on whether Renton and Fairwoods particularly is a good place for this OR if you have other recommendations.

Any reputable mechanics in kent for basic needs like oil changes?

We are trying to avoid the whole celebration at the Lake and just want to view the fireworks show from a surrounding park or public area.

Small Korean spot downtown on 1st Ave. It's by far my favorite place to eat in Kent. The food is so good, cozy atmosphere, the service is amazing, good beer, the owners are super nice, and the price is right. Love the Bulgogi, Bibimbap, Katsu, Wings, Yakisoba, the Banchan, everything I've had there is great. Just can't speak highly enough about the place, they've got 4.9 stars with almost 500 reviews on Google reviews. If you haven't been you should definitely check it out! Definitely a hidden gem. What are your favorite spots in the city?

It is a bummer, especially for the employees, but the Cafe Rio near LA Fitness is closing.

Their last day is tomorrow (Saturday the 27th).

They don’t have any signs on the door, we only learned about it when we used a gift card. The employee was generous enough to make sure we used it up. The only remaining location in Washington will be in Lynnwood.

So if you loaded up on Costco gift cards, use them quickly.

To the employees, thank you for the food. This sucks for ya, I know. Ya’ll will land on your feet, but I know it is terrifying.

Hey all! I am looking for any community local writer’s group or book club. Any suggestions? Preferably near Des Moines or downtown Kent.

Is it just me or is it almost impossible to find a part-time job as a minor anywhere, for reference i am 16m but ive applied to atleast 10 places and i havent heard back from any, i have a resume and a bit of experience but waiting for them to reply is like waiting for a snail to cross the whole earth, if anybody has any recs for places i could work at then i'd greatly apprecate it!

Hey folks, looking for an auto glass shop (NOT one of these mobile rigs that has no physical location), need to get a rear window removed and reinstalled on my car. It was done improperly by the body shop last year and now it's gonna be complicated so I need to actually go talk to someone. All the places I've talked to so far are virtual we-work-out-of-our-van types who wanted nothing to do with it either because it's complicated or it's an older car. So I'm looking for recommendations. Thanks!
