I applied for bSC chemical engineering and wrote my physics exam yesterday.
i have had like 20 friends with crazy good applications, i am talking country wide distinctions in mathematics and physics apply to ku, not a single person has recieved an offer yet?, when do the offers start rolling out.
Bro when are they gonna give out ts
its been over a month since my kuat im getting frustrationnnnn
um this is probably going to be controversial, which is why i made a brand new account for it. i've been seeing ku posts all over this subreddit. here's a few of my personal takes on it. basically, i don't think allll the ku hate is valid. sure, some points i understand, but most of them isn't really their fault.
girl, you submitted the test right after the first question. i understand that the placement of the button is super confusing but when there's two other buttons with the words 'next' and 'continue' on it, wouldn't you try clicking on them first? if those didn't work, and THEN you clicked on submit, it's not your fault. it's def unfair of them to scrap your new test and take the original score, but most of us avoided this issue. for my math kuat they didn't tell us abt it but for my physics they specifically mentioned that we shouldn't use the submit button. atleast they're aware of the issues it causes? but idk raging because of the button is kinda stupid.
it's literally written on your test instructions in the e-mail that you shouldn't use a physical calculator because there's an online one provided. there's no way for them to verify that YOUR physical calculator meets their requirements, so just use the online calculator, LIKE THEY ASKED YOU TO. why do you not follow instructions then cry about it 😭. look, if u had a doubt about it, i'm sure you can email then like a lot of other kids did.
if you got rejected even with a 4.0, 9.0 ielts, 1600 sat, 1200000 ec's and a non-competitive degree, i would advise you to accept this one rejection and go slay in your other unis. just because you didn't get a chance to write this uni's admission test doesn't mean they're a shitty university..maybe they just don't want you. it's not that deep, accept it. with crazy stats like that you should prob go apply to harvard or something.
girl graduating 6 months early because u get to skip some calc courses will not change the course of your entire life. calm down and focus on what you CAN do, which is grind thru on your degree. if you're crying abt how it's a 4 year degree and not a 3 year degree, then why'd u join? also 4 year degrees are good for some countries, like the usa where they tend to meet credit requirements. otherwise in netherlands, for example, a 3 year degree is considered a 'half degree', not everyone wants to do a masters directly after their bachelors, yk? also idgaf if you're in a 'rich curriculum', i'm a cbse kid and i'm embarrassed so shut up pleaseee.
if you got a 800 sat or a 2000 emsat or a 100 in your math board exam, and they still want to ask u to write the kuat..it shouldn't be an issue, right? why are you crying if you're obviously such a genius, go book that test for tmrw queen and get that 40/40! if you expect them to exempt you because you're such an awesome genius, then taking the test shouldn't be a big deal. pull up your big girl pants, study and take it.
um. it's a research uni? i don't even know what to say about this tbh...you get me right? if research isn't a priority, please choose another university. i have strict parents myself, i understand that you can only study here in the uae. plenty of other non-research focused unis who don't need admission tests exist.
i think a lot of ya'll are entitled af.
VALID PROBLEMS: EXTREMELY LATE ACCEPTANCES/OFFERS, wrong questions in the kuat (i didn't get any, but i'm hoping ya'll are correct about this), vague e-mail responses and bossy phone responses are all valid problems.
i absolutely hate their timeline though. i've got acceptances from my others unis but because of various reasons (high fees, not-so-cute degrees, terrible climate, no housing, strict parents) i'm 'choosing' to stay in the uae (help me). ku is a good uni, and it obviously has it's flaws, but most of ya'll are plain entitled. thank u for coming to my ted talk. Also im not paid by ku, i dont work there, im not even local ffs
Did anyone get accepted to ku undergraduate programs and do you know how long they will need after finishing the physics KUAT
i heard many people say that ku only accept uae locals into aerospace departments, is this true?
Hey everyone,
Have any of you heard back from Uni about acceptance or rejection to Fall 2026?
IM NOT BAD MOUTHING THE UNIVERSITY
Despite the rankings I’ve seen, I read mixed reviews coming out of current KU students.
Now the admissions have been horrible (for internationals), but I would assume it’s just the admissions department not the entire university.
KU STUDENTS, give me your honest review of the university.
Is the university actually as good as it seems?
I have an offer from AUS, what do you think I should do?
hi guys
i'm an ap/elite local student with an ielts of 7, 2 great ap exam scores, and really good highschool grades aswell as excelling performance in ai and machine learning and microbit programming, python java circuit building etc
i just wanted to share my experience with khalifa uni here, i've recently applied for ug fall 2026 for ai-robo, comp sci and comp eng. i was invited to go do the maths admission test in april and i did pretty good in the exam, nothing to be worried about. during the test the computer lagged on me and it submitted the exam after the first question which wasn't a problem in the moment and they let me retake it same sitting. i got a rejection later on based off admission test scores to which i called them to inquire about how i need my case to be reevaluated because i'm sure i did well it was a super cheesy exam. the first problem was that the staff on the line were extremely rude and proceeded to tell me that if i failed i failed and it's on me so i just hung up and was dialed to another staff member which was a really kind woman that actually helped.
same time i also emailed the admissions team to which they told me even if they evaluated my actual take on the exam they're not going to change my outcome because "all applicants are evaluated fairly under the same standards " which when they called me back later on they told me that they cannot reconsider me even if i actually passed the exam during the retake. i basically passed the test and they explicitly told me i got most answers correct, however i will still remain rejected and was evaluated incorrectly.
it was honestly super rude and unfair, which is hypocritical they're talking about fairness because they just admitted a girl in my school that doesn't show up and has a 70% average because she had connections. good for her wishing her all the best, but i expected better etiquette from a " #1 ranked university ". will try again if they open spring admissions, i'm just trusting god's plan for me right now.
does anybody have a similar experience?
