2026 KIA K4 GT LINE 12K MILES/YR, 36 MONTHS, 0 DOWN. $365 per month

I negotiated a lease on a 2026 Kia K4 GT-Line in Florida and wanted to see what everyone thinks.

  • 36 months
  • 12,000 miles/year
  • $365/month
  • $0 down (only paying the first month's payment at signing)
  • Payment includes tax, title, registration, dealer fees, and everything else
  • True sign-and-drive

The dealership also told me that if I go over the mileage, they'll waive the excess mileage charges as long as I lease another Kia through them. Has anyone actually had a dealer honor something like this?

Does this sound like a solid deal, or do you think I could do better? Anything I should watch out for before I sign?

Birds love morning haze

I've been driving for over 30 years, owned cars in just about every standard color they come in, and I've never EVER had a car pooped on as much as this one has been.

I've lived in the same house for 10 years now, parking in the same exact spot I've always parked and no other car has been bombed daily like this one is.

Am I just hyper sensitive since it's still new? Am I going a little crazy? Or is there something about this color that attracts the birds and makes them explode whenever they're in range?

2026 Sedan or Hatchback?

I am considering purchasing a new vehicle soon and immediately fell in love with the GT-Line Turbo with the Tech Package. Originally I gravitated toward the sedan variant as that is all I have ever driven, but began considering the hatchback since 90% of the YouTube reviews for that trim are in the hatchback. I’ve driven both at the dealership, but the short test drive on the same road in both vehicles didn’t tell me much.

How does the cabin noise compare between the two?

Is there a difference in sound quality from the speakers?

Other than the 11 in. length difference and the higher backseat roof, are there any other dimensions that differ?

What are some things you like/don’t like about the two?

I’d love to hear what you guys have to say and I’m excited to join the Kia family!

Can someone tell me the name of the missing part?

Had a small accident on the road not too long ago and the plastic fell off and is broken so I need to buy a new one. If I go to my dealership they will be able to help me out?

Wireless Phone Charger

I have a 25 K4 EX and the wireless charger is trash. I have an iPhone 14 and it will charge it like 5% before it overheats. Any better recommendations that will fit in the same spot?

EDIT: I used to drive my Dad’s 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV and that wireless charger charged my phone just fine. It would heat up but never overheat unless it was already a hot day.

GT-Line w/ Technology Question

Is there a way to keep the front camera on past 6 mph? I think it’s a little ridiculous it turns off at such low speeds. I’m not sure if this is a setting.

Kia K4 LXS 2026

Just purchased this bad boy! 23.5k sale price, 25.6k OTD. Great day honestly, it drives so smooth so far. Folks with this car, what do y’all like/dislike about the car? It’s my first financed vehicle and I am looking forward to keeping her.

Gt line and lxs trim front end differences

I have the Gt line turbo and I just realized how much more I like the LX/LXS/EX front end/lip compared to the Gt line turbos. I feel like it looks more sporty. Is it just me who thinks that lol.

This is what my Gt line turbos looking like right now

Kia k4 exterior

Hey guys! I know color is subjective, but if you had to pick the best exterior color for the Kia K4, which would it be and why? I'm trying to decide, so I'd love to hear your opinions.

Kia K4 (Exclusive, 6-speaker audio) - Significant left/right imbalance, ear pressure sensation, tweeter hiss, and measurements showing 8-10 dB difference

Hi everyone,

About a month ago I bought a new Kia K4 Exclusive (Im from Czechia, Exclusive is the middle of the path kit) with the standard 6-speaker audio system. Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the car, but I've been struggling with the audio system since the first week of ownership and I'm trying to find out whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

Main issue: left and right sides do not sound the same

The entire left side of the system sounds noticeably different from the right side. The left channel is quieter, lacks high frequencies, and the overall sound feels unbalanced.

I already visited my dealer about this. They have let me in a different K4, but the it did not sound as bad as mine, maybe a small difference, but not that noticable at all. Because of that, I'm no longer sure whether this is an individual defect or something related to the factory tuning/design of the base audio system.

I measured it

To verify that it wasn't just my subjective impression, I performed several measurements using pink noise played from a USB drive.

I measured both channels under identical conditions and repeated the measurements multiple times. To isolate each side, I switched the balance fully to the side being measured and positioned the microphone at the corresponding seating position, approximately where the driver's or front passenger's head would normally be. The procedure was repeated for both sides using the same setup each time.

The results were consistently the same: the left side measured significantly quieter than the right, with the largest differences occurring in the higher frequencies, typically by around 8-10 dB across most of the frequency range, with an even larger drop in the higher frequencies (roughly above 4-8 kHz).

Because of this, simply moving the balance control to the left is not a real solution. It may compensate for volume, but it completely distorts the stereo image and the missing detail in the left channel remains.

Ear pressure / clogged ear sensation

This is the strangest symptom. When listening to music, especially rock, I often get the sensation that my left ear is "plugged" or under pressure, almost like the feeling you get when changing altitude - but I wrote this down to the left channel imbalance.

Tweeter hiss / harsh high frequencies

Another problem is a noticeable hissing or whistling character in songs with stronger high-frequency content. This is again much more noticeable on the left side.

The exact same tracks sound perfectly fine through headphones and on my home audio equipment, so I don't think the recordings themselves are the problem - but I have wrote this down to the speakers just being low quality, and imcapable of playing such high frequencies.

Effect of temperature

I've also noticed what seems to be a temperature-related behavior.

When the car is cold in the morning, the speakers seem to play even quieter. As the cabin warms up, the overall volume returns to normal, but the left/right imbalance becomes more obvious.

I'm not sure whether this is actually related or if I'm imagining it, but I've noticed the pattern repeatedly.

What I've already checked

  • The issue is present regardless of source (Bluetooth, CarPlay, USB, radio, etc.)
  • Equalizer adjustments do not solve it
  • Moving balance/fader only masks the problem, but even with L+4 I still notice the higher frequencies are not aligned, just the volume is more "centered", but not truly.
  • Phone restart and infotainment reset had no effect
  • The issue existed long before any software updates and even after manually installing the newest version via usb stick the problem is not resolved

My questions

  1. Has anyone with a Kia K4 (or another recent Kia model) experienced a significant left/right imbalance like this?
  2. Has anyone measured their system and found similar results?
  3. Would you continue pursuing this through warranty/service, especially now that I have measurement data showing a consistent 8-10 dB difference?
  4. Has anyone experienced the "plugged ear" sensation caused by a car audio system?

I can also upload the measurement screenshots if that would help.

Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences.

Condensation (?) on the interior door handle housing

I noticed this a couple days ago and can't figure out what it is. I'm pretty careful not to touch anything when my hands are dirty or oily, and don't come in contact with that part of the door when grabbing the handle anyway. The area itself doesn't smear or appear wet or oily either. Anyone else experience this?

Can you beat my mpg?

As you can see only a 30 mile trip but 77 mpg is insane, I’ve had my 2025 LXS for about 20 months and never come close to that so I’m curious if anyone has seen better in a trip

Smart cruise control

I just got my k4 2026 ex today. I love it I’m wondering how can I turn off smart cruise control? I know how to set it to limit but is there no way to have it for example set to 80 and it go that speed but not stop when a car is in front of me? I’ve turned the sensitivity on all of it to 1. Thank you
