Building a set of tools to help Kick streamers grow

Hey, so I've been building a platform to help Kick streamers grow, by creating automatic clips and provide useful analytics tools for free. It intelligently crops your face cam and turns the clips into short form vertical content as well. You can find shared viewers with other streamers to collab with, and certainly learn a lot more than what Kick currently provides as stats.

I built this for Turkish Kick community first, I got amazing feedback and now I want to go international but not sure how to reach the right audience. It's called clipp.tv

You can take a look at some of the clips it takes in clipp.tv/discover

I'm a solo dev building all this, so open for all kinds of feedback.

It's absolutely free to use for now, and no Elon Musk is not going to join your stream after your log-in (sadly).

This is an update post to a post made 26 days ago.

Managing a stream is almost always a solo job. When you watch massive broadcasts, they usually have a dedicated production team behind the scenes. Those producers are triggering sound effects, drawing on the screen, and shifting layouts around on the fly. It makes the stream incredibly interactive. Unfortunately, trying to set that up yourself usually means dealing with complicated routing tools or handing over your sensitive OBS passwords.

That is exactly why I built Poltergeist.

It is a cloud-based dashboard that connects to OBS using just a single Browser Source. By granting access to your trusted moderators, you instantly turn them into a live production team. They can control the overlay, run chat games, and trigger alerts right from their own web browser. They never need your stream key or PC access to do it.

The biggest recent update: The entire backend has been rebuilt. The custom chatbot, stream alerts, channel point redemptions, and chat games now run 100% server-side. They work 24/7, even if the dashboard is completely closed!

Prize wheel moved live, appearing in OBS instantly:

https://poltergeist.cc/images/poltergeistprizewheel.mp4

Here is what can be done with Poltergeist:

Feature Description
On-Stream Telestrator Draw freely over the broadcast in real-time. Great for tactical strategy games, analyzing gameplay, or circling funny moments. Includes a snap grid for precision.
Staging & Layers Prepare graphics off-air in a hidden "Staging" zone, then hit "Push to Live." The overlay can even be split into multiple OBS browser sources (e.g., Layer 2 behind a webcam and Layer 4 in front of it) with zero audio echo.
Keyframe Animations A built-in timeline editor allows for the sequencing of complex visual events. Animate position, scale, rotation, and opacity to create professional lower thirds or pulsing alerts.
Interactive Games Spawn a Prize Wheel or a Carnival Booth. Viewers can play live on the overlay using chat commands (like "!throw") or Twitch Channel Points. Games now run automatically in the background without needing the dashboard open.
Live Widgets & Goals Instantly spawn dynamic Sub/Follower Goal Bars, animated scrolling Event Lists (Stream Labels), tally counters, live polls, or generate QR codes on the fly.
24/7 Event Alerts Reliable, instant alerts for Follows, Subs, Gifts, Raids, and Cheers. Native Follow Alerts are completely free for all users. Alerts can be linked directly to custom animations to trigger automatically.
Cloud Chatbot Build custom commands with aliases, let viewers trigger Soundboard audio directly via chat, set strict VIP/Subscriber-only permissions, and schedule smart auto-timers.
Media & Chroma Key Display images with live green screen removal, create auto-looping slideshows, or play video files directly on stream.
Unified Chat Feed Embed live chat directly onto the overlay, with options to combine Twitch and Kick chat into a single, clean feed.

How to set it up:

  1. Log in via Twitch, Kick, or YouTube.

  2. Add the unique link into OBS as a Browser Source.

  3. Open the dashboard on a phone, tablet, or secondary monitor.

  4. Start spawning assets and controlling the stream. (Moderators simply log in with their own accounts to be granted access).

Transparency on Pricing: There is a completely free "Starter Kit" tier that provides access to all features with reasonable usage limits. For channels looking to scale, a paid "Broadcast Suite" upgrade unlocks unlimited assets, scenes, and the advanced Chatbot builder to help sustain server hosting costs.

Feedback and ideas for new widgets or features are highly encouraged and always welcome in the comments.

Should I move from Twitch? How much does Kick pay per hour?

https://preview.redd.it/1t3t7i8dqcbh1.png?width=343&format=png&auto=webp&s=def0c547f7d5916e7df7b4ab18c30d9cb6853ca3

I'm a twitch partner and my community sent me this - I want to try streaming on Kick but I need to know if it's worth moving from Twitch - so I asked around about the KPP and the rates of my friends streaming there - Some say they get 25$ per 1000 viewers - others get as high as 100$ per 1000 viewers - and one of my friends gets about 50$ for 1000 CVV - Which is it? and how is that determined ? Like do they manually place you in "TIERS" or it gets determined the first hour you stream after you get Partner?

Fast-Track Access to the Kick Partner Program - is this email from lena@kick.com legit?

Hi everyone,

I recently received an email from lena@kick.com claiming to be from Kick’s Partnerships Team. The email says that my channel has been selected for Fast-Track Access to the Kick Partner Program, allowing me to skip the usual application process.

The email asks me to reply with my Kick channel name so they can set up and confirm the partner status. My Kick channel is already created and linked to the same email address that received this message.

Before I reply or share any further information, I wanted to double-check with the community:

Is lena@kick.com an official Kick partnerships email address?
Does Kick actually send out Fast-Track Partner Program invitations like this?
Has anyone else received a similar email from Kick?

I just want to make sure this is legitimate and not a phishing attempt.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Why does my stream look much worse on Kick than it does in OBS?

Title:
OBS preview looks great, but Kick stream quality is much worse (IRL setup)

Post:

Hi everyone,

I've been troubleshooting my IRL streaming setup for days and I'm running out of ideas.

Here's what I'm seeing:

  • OBS preview looks excellent.
  • OBS local recordings also look excellent.
  • However, my stream on Kick (both live and VOD) looks significantly worse.

I also tested streaming directly from Moblin on an iPhone 14 Pro to Kick (without OBS or BELABOX), and the quality was still much worse than expected.

Internet connection

  • Two different mobile carriers
  • Bonded connection (Moblink / dual SIM setup)
  • Stable upload around 8 Mbps with no dropped frames or connection issues

OBS settings

  • 720p50 (I'll also test 720p60)
  • H.264 High Profile
  • CBR
  • 8000 Kbps
  • Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds
  • B-Frames enabled

Moblin settings

  • H.264 High Profile
  • CBR
  • 8000 Kbps
  • Keyframe Interval: 2 seconds
  • B-Frames enabled

I've tried:

  • Moblin → Kick
  • Different encoder settings

The confusing part is that the OBS preview and local recordings are almost identical to the source, but once the stream reaches Kick, it loses a lot of detail, especially on asphalt, trees, road textures, and moving objects.

I know my channel is currently limited to 720p because I'm below the 5 CCV engagement tier, so I understand why 1080p isn't available.

My question is:

Is this level of quality loss normal for Kick's 720p transcoding, or am I missing something?

Has anyone experienced the same issue or found a solution?

Thanks!

Kick Clipping Program

Hey guys, I’ve been grinding for months trying to meet requirements and when I finally did I applied for a ticket. I met all requirements and I got denied. So I contacted support and they said I have an alt account and kicked and banned me. I have never applied with another account and have never applied before this. Could someone please help me or provide me a way I could talk to the mods as I have done nothing wrong.

Twitch vs. kick

Bro just get off kick. It needs to go. If anyone reading this has anything to do with get just get rid of it. Twitch is always going to be the ONLY good streaming platform. Kick is Chinese as hell so it’s just a major no.
