We were at this rainforest resort when this little boy named Parv just walked right up to me and asked for the snooker cue I was using. I was pretty surprised but handed it over.

He was clearly hunting for a play buddy. He grabbed the cue ball, placed it wherever he wanted, took a shot, and immediately asked for another… and another. He wasn’t really aiming much, just having a blast.

Even though we’d just met, he was talking to me like we were old friends, no hesitation at all. His dad eventually joined us and we played together. We also ended up playing table tennis and Jenga a bunch during the stay.

One morning I ran into him coming back from a nature walk with his mom. He was super excited and had so much to tell me with the cutest little expressions. His innocent chatter was honestly the highlight.

We’re back home now and some post I saw just brought the whole thing back.
