For anyone that doesn’t know the FTD brothers are in Kilkenny tomorrow starting in the Castle Park at 10am. They are running 32 marathons in 32 counties across Ireland, with the aim of raising €1 million for dementia research and support, particularly for Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

Let’s get out and support them if possible!

We are a couple and a four year old visiting this summer. We will be driving from Kilkenny to Killarney on Tuesday, July 21st, around mid-afternoon (3pm ish). Just a few questions, please:

\- Google Maps estimates 2 hours 40min for the straight drive through. What is a realistic estimate?
\- One option is the M8 then the N73 and N72 to Killarney. The other option is the N76 to N73 to Killarney. Both show as pretty much the same drive time. Which is better?
\- Both of the above routes seem to pass very close to Cahir Castle. Is this worth a stop/do we have time? I'm guessing we will hit rush hour.
\- Similar to above, where would be a good stop/stretch point (if not Cahir)?

Any other considerations for this journey? Thanks in advance!

Was waiting around for my NCT the other day and noticed there was a load of cars beside the NCT test centre. Why is this ? Are these seized cars or what there was no signage there and there’s tons of cars with no NCT or Tax.

I’m just wondering does anyone know if you can access the river walk at the sycamores by going through talbotsinch?

I’ve looked on Google Maps, Apple Maps but neither are clear.

When I try look it up it mentions the sycamores up to Talbotsinch but not if you can actually do a full loop or halve to walk back on yourself.
