I NEED a killing eve video game

I NEED a killing eve video game

So regarding that shitty „she‘s back“ instagram post, there were some theories that it might be for a hitman style killing eve video game, and that made me realized how bad i want one!

I absolutely love that type of video game and imagine how great it would be to have one with villanelle?? Plus it would help to pretend that she didn’t actually die.

I saw this game design on youtube: https://youtu.be/TfVuKWoFwN4?si=HUpw_jhkFnzQGpF_ (that’s were the screesnhot is from) and lets just say, I’m OBSESSED.

What do you guys think? And is there any hope left for us? 😫

edit: okay guys i just started a petition https://c.org/kWP6LbtMbD and im working on a way to market it! Its still in the total beginning but if you’ve got any tips or ways you could help or advertise this, feel free to do so! It would also mean the world to me if you signed it. It probably won’t change much but i can’t just sit around :)

What do I watch now?

I watched season one and two and loved it. Season three was OK I guess, but kind of inconsistent with the people that I grew to know in the last seasons. I watched the first episode of season 4. Did not like it, so inconsistent, nothing goes anywhere, then I began the second episode and saw the villanelle jesus again and was like “omg is the whole season this bad?”

I googled “does season 4 get better?” And found out quickly no. No it doesn’t. Glad I didn’t waste anymore time. I went to the last episode and watched the scene that they kissed cuz I just needed to know if they got together. I’m gonna pretend like the last 4 minutes didn’t happen.

What do I watch now? Any wlw shows like this?

Series / movies with Jodie Comer playing a role somewhat similar to Villanelle?

Ok, obviously she won’t play Villanelle in another movie or series, but is there anything similar out there with Jodie Comer? That kind of excentric, charming, funny, stylish, wlw ordeal? 🥹

Which of the series / movies Jodie has starred in do y’all love other than Killing Eve?

Unpopular opinion: Eve didn’t love Villanelle.

She was initially intellectually interested and intrigued which lead to personal encounters with this captivating OBJECT of her curiosity. She then became obsessed with that THING--an actual female killer who (stoking the emotional fire) seemed interested in her as well. Obsession isn’t love. It’s a mirror. Eve was also impulsive—when she stabbed Villanelle, when she threw the cake off the roof—and then instantly regretted it. Very plain to see “Oh no! What did I do?!” in both instances. She impulsively and irrevocably committed to an emotional response with irreparable results. And she regretted it.

Villanelle’s feelings towards Eve were transmogrified by coincidence; that initial “love at first sight” (according to PWB) in the ladies room mirror coalesced with learning that the someone who was looking for her (an ego stroke) was also That Woman in the mirror. That never changed for Villanelle. Every encounter Villanelle had with Eve (a couple of episodes toward the end of S4 being the exception) was tinged with hope.

This is the glue of everything.

I’m on my 9^(th) rewatch and yes, I’ve watched other things and I also read and have a busy social life and a job I love but I keep coming back to KE because while I admit to initially being captivated by the (romantic)(tragic) dynamic between V/E, there are things that I just don’t understand. Mostly, I find that I am always sympathetic to (poor) Villanelle and usually puzzled by (dammit) Eve. Even in the last few episodes of season 4, Eve is all business and uses Villanelle as a means to the end.

So it occurred to me that in spite of the push-pull dynamic, in spite of “fate,” in spite of the camper van… Eve doesn’t love Villanelle but Villanelle never stopped loving/hoping for Eve. And to me, THAT is the tragedy of Killing Eve.

I’d love to know what all of you other KE scholars think.

Thoughts on the latest Killing Eve book?

I'm curious what those who read it thought of the latest Killing Eve book (Medusa) that was released in May.

>!Oxana and Eve spend so much time away from each other in this book, I found it a bit like reading Codename Villanelle again.!<

Why was the ending so rushed??

I've just finished the fourth series as it only just arrived on UK Netflix the other week. I was so looking forward to another series only to be let down in the last moments.

All that build up to finding the leader of the 12 etc, finding who was after them, only to have it all get done with mostly off camera while Eve is dancing at a wedding. She didn't even get to be a part of the closure after she chased them all season! It just seemed like a bit of an anticlimax, but I thought at least Villanelle and Eve can get a happy ending... But no, even the was ruined in the worst possible way.

In some ways, I don't (or wouldn't) have minded Villanelle being killed at the end of it was done right and handled well. Her death felt more like an afterthought of "how do we ensure this ends" and left more questions than it answered. If this was a cliff hanger for the next series, then fine, it could maybe work. But as a finale finale... No. It's an empty feeling of dissatisfaction instead of closure.

Any books you'd suggest similar to Codename Villanelle or Big Swiss?

I'm posting in this sub for a very specific reason. Codename Villanelle and Big Swiss are pretty... unique.

Goodreads suggested reading Big Swiss if I liked Codename Villanelle (I liked the Killing Eve series more but I was at least glad the books gave them a happy ending) and I was a bit hesitant to read Big Swiss because it seemed maybe too much... but, it turned out to be just the right amount of messy. Also, after hearing that Jodie Comer was cast for the part and would be playing a role in the production, I felt it was worth checking out (although, the production seems to be severely delayed). I didn't exactly expect an ending in which they'd end up together in Big Swiss given the situation, so the ending wasn't exactly a surprise in that sense.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a wlw novel that is a bit messy. Maybe a tad less toxic, and certainly not straight up romance. The complexity of it is part of what interests me. But again, one in which the characters at least end up together.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, I haven't read past the third book in Luke Jenning's series. Are the other ones worth a read? It felt like it wrapped up nicely with the third book. I've considered reading them, I'm just not certain yet.

Sorry if I used the wrong flair, btw... I wasn't sure which to go with.

Possibility season 5 happening?

Saw this on instagram, both Fifth Season and Killing Eve shared the post. Could this mean we are finally getting a good ending? Any theories?

Any good unofficial merch?

Hey everyone, I was wondering whether anyone has any links for good, lowkey, aesthetically pleasing KE merch? I've been surfing on Amazon and also on Etsy, but I haven't really found anything great so far... Share your merch with me if you have any, and tell me where you bought it, please, it would be greatly appreciated!

Fifth Season comment pinned on the new Killing Eve insta post: “Thanks for all the love for Killing Eve. Missing Villanelle and Eve? UK and Australian viewers can revisit all four seasons now on YouTube”

If that’s the reason to Killing Eve insta acc posting what they did then goddamn I am so fed up! Hopefully it’s just a “in the meantime” thing like someone said in the thread below.

How would interactions have played out between them?

How would interactions have played out between Villanelle and Eve's colleagues with whom she never shared any screentime?

For example, how would an interaction with Kenny have gone? I imagine Villanelle would've found his nervous disposition quite amusing, and likely would've mocked his dress sense at some point.
