Nitro Fin thumb rest on 2K11
I put a Nitro Fin thumb rest on my 2K11, and it doesn’t let the slide lock back. Does anyone know of a workaround to get it to lock? TIA

Has anyone swapped from the aluminum grip to a MJd grip? If so were there any fitting issues, and has anyone bought the mbx 2k11 mags? How are they?
I've been saving up for a 5" non comp model but really have been enjoying suppressed shooting with my current collection of firearms. Has anyone heard rumors of a threaded barrel model in the works? Seems like an obvious next release to me.
Loving my 2k11 Pro so far, moved from striker fired P10F I didn't lube that much...or clean...
I lube my 2k11 before every match or practice.
Dirty oil gets all on my shirt around my holster by the end.
Have found I need to scrub shirt with toothbrush using Dawn dish soap, let that sit like overnight, then I'll hit it with Shout, work it in, let that sit like an hour, then wash. Its OK, still there but faded to the point of "almost gone".
Tell me there is a cheat code for this. What are ya'll using to get this crap out of clothes easy?
Hello everyone, I need advice on which magazines are best for IPSC competitions.
I'm running a Kimber 2011 Eclipse 5".
I currently have two 20-round magazines and one 17-round magazine (I believe is a Checkmate's). I'm looking for higher-capacity magazines or parts to extend the capacity of my current 20-round mags.
I'm saving up for a non-comp 5" model with the original MJD grip, which as far as I can tell narrows it down to the Stainless Target and Eclipse 5" (Kimber, please make the Royal in a 5"!). I'd like the TAG Precision plate and fixed thumb safeties, but I'm not sure how to make sure I get one with those changes. Is there a SN cutoff, or are the changes exclusive to the Pro and Comp models?
I’ve been having a weird feeling issue since cleaning my target stainless about a 1,000 rounds ago. I had a hammer follow issue that I diagnosed as the disconnector sticking after cleaning it. The disconnector was sticky from dried solvent and has been good since. My suspicion is my extractor might also be sticky as I lube the gun well and I’m not shooting weak ammo (140 power factor for uspsa nerds, 124 gn going 1135 fps for everyone else). I’ve checked my feed lips and it’s happened with all of the mags I have (atlas and kimber)

Any thoughts?
Bought the 5” eclipse and took it straight to the range. Had multiple stovepipes in 200 rounds. Also the screws on the rear sight plate yeeted. RMA’d to Kimber. They did the following:
Replaced thumb safety with new blended one and adjusted trigger over travel (paid for new safety and noted trigger rattle). Replaced extractor, refinished feed ramp and breech face, reamed and polished chamber. They test fired 3 mags of 115gr and 1 mag of 147gr. Cleaned, oiled and sent back to me.
Installed my optic and went back to the range tonight. No issues while sighting the optic with roughly 50 rds of 124gr. Once I started shooting “for real” I started to have failures to return to battery. At first it was maybe 1 round per mag but by the end of the session I was getting multiple back-to-back failures like in this video (please excuse my trigger discipline on some of the slide taps - I was frustrated and let that slip).
I was very careful not to ride the slide with my thumbs (I know you can’t really see with the angle). I don’t have the world’s best grip/form but I’ve shot a lot of guns over the past few months while shopping for my next buy and didn’t have issues with any of them. So I want to say it’s the wand and not the wizard but I’m open to criticism.
I shot about 350-400 rds of Monarch and Blazer 115gr. 100 rds of PMC 124gr. 50 rds Winchester 147gr subsonic. All ammo types had the same issue.
One time I press checked and there was a round sitting in the chamber, not held by the extractor. Wondering is there’s an issue with the new extractor they installed? Tension? Something else? I placed a dummy round into the extractor when I got home and it seems fine - though I’m not an expert.
