Popularity Poll Results! Congratulations Mimi & Sheena (yes both)!
Honestly, unsurprising that our leading ladies took home the win, but a bit surprised they managed to tie! Sheena was well in the lead for a majority of the time, but Mimi came in at the end to tie things up. Seiran and Esther being a closely voted as 3rd & 4th place makes sense based on their characters so far. I suspect that if we do a poll at the end of the first season Haru will get a bit more love as anime only fans have not seen much screen time with them. Poor Ari doesn't seem as popular as her classmates, I wonder why?
Omi and Fran didn't get included in this poll because 1. we don't know if they are orphans and 2. Reddit wont allow more than 6 options per poll! If anyone has ideas for future polls comment below! I'm thinking the next one will be the most popular cover for the released volumes.
Edit: You can find the original poll conversation here.
I participated as key animator for ep 3 this time (the first half-ish of talk on the stairs scene). Thank you for watching!
Community Event - Manga Cover Art Popularity Bracket [Group A]
Polling is open for Group A of our tournament style bracket to determine which Manga volume cover art is the most popular in this subreddit community! You can check out the announcement post here.
Announcing the Next Community Poll! - Manga Art Cover Bracket!
Hello Everyone! Our next community poll will be a bracket to determine which of the manga volume covers is the favorite! Part of the reason for a group bracket is because Reddit Limits polls to six options per poll (or at least from what I've found), so we will need to split up the covers! Over the next ~week I will be releasing the group polls which will last for 3 days. Once the two preliminary groups have a winner, a final poll will be posted to determine which cover comes out on top!
- Polling for Group A is open!
Thank you for watching the episode 1! I participated as second key animator this time and got permission to share a few key frames. Will be probably sharing more in upcoming weeks!
I participated as key animator for ep 4 this time (the Ari Seiran talk in the room). Sharing some LO and genga with permission. Thank you for watching!
Análisis De Los Primeros 5 Caps Del Anime
Welcome to /r/KimiShinu — Why We Moved, and the Future of This Subreddit
Hello, my name is sika. Some of you may recognize my name from elsewhere; for those who do not, I am a moderator of both /r/KimigaShinu and /r/KimiShinu, and I also run the unofficial English Discord server for KimiShinu.
If you are a regular member of /r/KimigaShinu, I would like to offer my apologies for this sudden announcement and for the inconvenience caused by my decision to archive /r/KimigaShinu and move the community here. Allow me to explain the reasoning behind this decision.
In May 2022, as I became interested in this series, I noticed there was no community for English-speaking fans, so I created a Discord server to fill that gap. Later that month, I noticed that /r/KimiShinu was available and created the subreddit, though I kept it private, intending to develop it properly once the Discord server was more established. Unfortunately, I never found the opportunity to do so, and the subreddit remained inactive.
In February 2023, the previous owner of /r/KimigaShinu reached out to me on Discord, proposing that we link the Discord server with his subreddit. As his subreddit predated mine, I deferred to his claim and redirected /r/KimiShinu to point to his community instead. He subsequently offered me a moderator position. However, between managing the Discord server and other commitments, I was unable to devote attention to the subreddit itself. I assumed it was being maintained adequately in my absence — an assumption that, as I later discovered, was mistaken.
By March 2025, following the anime announcement, I proposed moving the main subreddit to /r/KimiShinu, given that it is the official short name of the series, in order to prepare the community for the anime's broadcast. The previous owner declined, noting that the community was already established with approximately 100 members. He assured me he would continue to oversee it, so I once again stepped back and returned my focus to other responsibilities.
On July 2, 2026, however, we received a modmail requesting that /r/KimigaShinu be reclaimed, citing inactivity among all moderators. I was surprised to learn that the previous owner had made no further progress on the subreddit since we last corresponded. In light of this, I concluded that it was necessary to assume ownership and manage the community directly.
I began building up moderation activity quietly in the background, and formally took over the subreddit on July 13, 2026.
After assuming ownership, I considered whether to retain /r/KimigaShinu as it stood or to proceed with my original plan of consolidating the community under the correct short name. Upon further reflection, given that /r/KimigaShinu was founded on a mistaken premise and subsequently neglected by an owner with limited investment in the series, I concluded that building upon that foundation was not the right path forward. Instead, I chose to establish a fresh start for the community, one that could receive the attention and care it deserves. For this reason, I have archived /r/KimigaShinu and am making this announcement.
For content previously posted in /r/KimigaShinu, you are welcome to repost it here or make use of the crosspost feature.
In the coming days, I will be expanding the wiki with additional information about the series so that it may serve as a proper reference for the community. I will also be making adjustments to this subreddit to ensure a positive experience for all members. Should you notice anything missing or amiss, please do not hesitate to send a modmail, and I will do my best to address it.
Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience this transition may have caused. I will do my utmost to manage this subreddit responsibly and support this community going forward. Thank you for being part of it.
