So I (George III) am a strange mixture of every George III there is. Now, usually, such a thing would fit under the “pancharakin” term, *however*, this is more than being all versions of a character from a single source (AUs, etc.). No, I am the real George III, the one in Hamilton, the one in Eight Songs For A Mad King, Bridgerton, The Madness of King George and AUs of all of these. Every appearance or mention of him, it is me.

Fair, a lot of these can be interpreted as AUs of real life, I suppose, but I personally consider them (especially Hamilton and Bridgerton, 8 Songs) detached enough from representing real events to be, in great part, fictional works.

So what if I want to discuss a certain version of myself from a specific source? This is when I thought of the term “Aspect”. It came very naturally to me (as I was answering a different post, just a few minutes ago, in fact). There’s probably a term for this idea already, but… this is the one I think fits me! But of course, I’d be glad to know others feel the same way, and figured out a word for it…

Essentially, it is to address these different George’s still as *me*, but not as “versions”. I don’t particularly like that word; it feels too detached to me, as if my “Bridgerton version” is distinct from “me”. No, no, these two are the same being, all in one… me. “Aspect” would be the specific “““version”””, “Panaspect” would describe a being like me.

(If any of this is confusing, feel free to ask, we love answering questions!)

So. “Aspect”. Let us know your thoughts! We (most likely I) should answer in a timely manner, and would love to have some nice dialogue!

of course I'd never believe that somebody else is less valid for having many kins- but like sometimes I look at myself and feel like I'm a faker for this reason.

Idk I'm usually able to ignore the feeling, but this time I wanted to see if other fictionfolk can relate! :D

i don’t usually interact with the community,, which has led me to miss out on a few things- one of those being different labels that i’ve started to notice recently… and general terms as well
i’ve noticed ID being used quite a lot, but im not really sure what that means in this community/context? kinshifting is also a term i don’t quite understand..
could someone enlighten me? i’d really appreciate a list of different labels and terms, i know im forgetting some ;;

some of my kins are on the doubles list and i don't want to accidently break the rules (I'm ok with doubles for most kins)

As stated in the title, we've received multiple attacks on our system and being told we're not real because we're mostly fine with doubles. It's nothing personal with the sub, but rather a few people that need to grow up and learn that other users are human too. It's not every day you get home from something and see a message saying you're not real and to slit your wrists.

Genuinely some people need help. Again, not directed at everyone, just a select few. If you think it's okay to harrass someone, you need to rethink your choices.

Anyways, with that off my chest, I'll be leaving the subreddit.

Most of my kins are super mainstream but I have a thew no one has ever heard of 😭

It has been brought to the attention of the team here that many people are comparing introjects to kins. If you are unsure of what an introject is, they are alters within a system. A system can be described as someone that shows the presence of two or more distinct identity disturbances, often accompanied with their own names, interests, dislikes, and so on.

Introjects are alters that are based on either a fictional character or real life person. They can be based on anything. An introject exists outside of what media they come from.

Alters are separate from kins, and we do welcome systems here. Introjects are their own people, and should not be compared to a kin. Anyone comparing such will be timed out and told to educate themselves before furthering stigma and harassment of people.
