As the title suggests, what are your opinions on putting tempered glasses in your Kindles?
Do you have experiences and how does it affect you?
Do you recommend putting one po ba? And if not, why po?
I just want to know other’s experience kasi may nakuha po ako na free tempered glass sa binili ko na case and I am not sure if it is beneficial to put or not?

I’ve been using a Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen since 2017 and after nine years, I finally gave into the hype and ordered a Kindle Paperwhite 12th Gen.
The larger touchscreen is so fluid and the warm brightness is a lot easier on the eyes. I love it! It’s still too early to give feedback on the battery life since I’ve only unboxed it an hour ago. But the whole user experience has been life-changing. This must be how jumping from an iPhone X to an iPhone 17 feels like.
Share ko lang that I was nearly scammed last June 5 by someone on Carousell. Grateful that my boss called me for an impromptu 1:1 as I was haggling the price and the scammer’s account got suspended while I was in that meeting. Thank you, boss!
Three weeks later, I ordered through a family friend during Prime Day at a cheaper price than what the scammer was offering. Patience really pays off, guys. Always go through legitimate channels para hindi kayo maloko.

Hello! I recently got my kindle basic 2024 - i setup everything, jailbroken, install koreader etc.
However, parang hindi makapagsettle yung eyes ko 🥹 hindi ko sure if hindi ko lang makuha yung tamang timpla ng settings or what.
Now i'm thinkinh of looking into Kobo Clara BW since same screen size lang sila.
Would you recommend Kobo Clara BW over Kindle Basic 2024? Or may go-to settings ba kayo for comfortable long reading sessions?

To those planning to buy a Kindle from this subreddit, do your due diligence when it comes to making transactions.
Most Scammers will give a fake Carousel account (old account but bought by the scammer). This will give you the sense that it is a trusted account. Do not fall for it. Same goes to other social media accounts if they provide one.
If face to face transaction is not an option, then do remember the likelihood of getting scammed.
Be wary of too good to be true deals.

I was a bit hesitant to jailbreak at first, but I finally pulled the trigger as soon as I saw the Vera jailbreak. The custom screensaver has got to be what made this JB really worth it.

I’m disappointed with the quality of the Kindle Paperwhite 11th Gen. I bought it brand new back in 2022 when it was released. I've never liked the texture on the back—as you can see, it looks smudgy, and it’s been like that since the day I unboxed it. Then, just last year, the rubber edging on the upper corners broke too :( probably due to the clear case I was using before.
Could someone tell me if the PPW 12th Gen has the same back texture? I love the Raspberry color, but I’m hesitant about the feel. I really preferred the back texture of the PPW4. I sometimes like to use it without any case. TIA.

Posting this as a warning for anyone in the PH book community who might be looking for a Kindle or other book-related items.
I found this account on Threads, @kristinlozano143, selling a Kindle. The transaction initially seemed legitimate, so I decided to purchase. I sent the payment through QR, but shortly after the payment was made, the seller deactivated their Threads account, and I could no longer contact the seller.
I’ve already contacted my bank regarding the transaction and am currently reporting the incident to the necessary parties. I’m keeping all screenshots, messages, payment records, and other details as evidence.
I’m sharing the account here so others can be cautious and avoid sending payment until the seller and transaction have been properly verified.
I honestly just wanted to buy myself a Kindle, and it’s really upsetting to have this happen. I hope posting this can prevent someone else from experiencing the same thing.
