Minimun alevels grade requirement?

Is B grade really the minimum requirement for alevel subjects 🥲 for bs programs? Or do you have to have Atleast 60% equivalence overall. I have a D in psychology, should i apply for psych or skip and apply for english lit instead? Will i get in with bad grades uh

kc or umt?

i got into UMT in the degree that I'm interested in and wanna do (hospitality and culinary arts), and I've applied to KC in BBA. I'm really confused between choosing from these two. What I'm looking for apart from the degree is a good uni campus life with extracurriculars. Does KC provide these also Should I choose kc over umt even tho i am not majorly interested in BBA, but it'll work if I get a good campus uni life

Admissions

I submitted my online admission form and the registration fee but did not receive any email that my admission has been sent.

Do we receive any email after submitting the form?

Although the form does show "submitted" status.

should i repeat 1st year in kinnaird as it's my dream clg and i can't move on, it's been a year, im doing pre engineering at kips im hopeful to get 500/570, but I've always dreamed of kinnaird, I don't feel like i belong in kips, kc is my dream clg, I've tried therapy but nth helps, i grieve the future i had imagined in kc, the social life, the extra curriculars, the friends id have made, the people id have met, and my childhood dream coming true. for years, i imagined myself in kc and now living it's parallel life, nothing makes sense, every one tells me it's just one more year in kips, but if i repeat it will just be one year and kips can just be a bad chapter, i applied to kc last year, got in but couldn't attend due to circumstances. I want to apply again and repeat.

after few years, i wont even care dat i repeated 11th, but ill always wonder about my dream clg, kc.

When are terminations confirmed

Hi everyone ... After how many days from the declaration of the results are the terminations confirmed? My CGPA is 1.94, so I'm really worried. Does the university confirm terminations immediately after the results are announced, or does it take a few weeks? If anyone knows the process, I'd really appreciate your help.

MS Clinical Psych Guidance please

Hi! I'm considering applying for admission in MS Clincical Psychology. I have completed my undergrad in BS Anthropology/Sociology with a Minor in Psychology. The Kinnaird official website mentions that one of the eligibility requirements for my intended postgraduate program is "Graduation in Psychology." Since I have not majored in this subject - but have done a minor - will I be an eligible applicant for the MS Psychology program at Kinnaird? Also, please provide some guidance on what material the KC GAT covers? What is the test format (i.e. MCQs, etc.)? What kind of questions are asked in the interview? I'm worried that since I have not studied psychology in depth, I will be unable to answer specialized questions. How to best prepare for the GAT and interview?

Fine Arts Aptitude Test

The Fine Arts aptitude test primarily focuses on observational drawing. In my test, applicants were given a simple still-life arrangement consisting of a glass bottle and an artificial fruit. (usually simple things like bottles are given of various shapes). Not exactly accurate but Attached some for reference from class. recommend finding photographed images for practice.

They typically need 70% marks max for F.A admission. Kinship helps increase marks a bit. Check out their website for info.

Kinnaird typically selects a relatively small Fine Arts intake from a lot of applicants, often around 20-25 students, so strong drawing fundamentals are essential. The test is less about creating a masterpiece and more about demonstrating accurate proportion and basic shading skills.

What the Examiners Look For

The most important factor is accuracy. Your drawing should show correct proportions and careful observation of the objects in front of you. For example, if you are drawing a bottle, both sides should be symmetrical.

Drawing Tips

Start by lightly sketching. Using center lines and construction lines can help maintain symmetry and accuracy. Avoid completely erasing these guidelines (if shading isn't strong), as they demonstrate your construction method.

A useful approach is to focus on negative space. Instead of only drawing the objects themselves, pay attention to the empty shapes around and between them

When shading, remember that real objects are not defined by dark outlines. Forms are created through changes in light and shadow. Begin with very light marks and gradually build values. For glass objects, keep the shading subtle while still showing a clear range.

Do not Render any labels on the bottles simply draw a square in its place like in image given above Unless you are good at copying them fast.

Materials and Preparation

Applicants are expected to bring their own drawing board, paper, and art materials. These are not provided by the college, so make sure everything is prepared beforehand.

A mechanical pencil can be especially helpful for maintaining clean lines . It is also useful to bring a good quality eraser, sharpener (if using wooden pencils), blending stump, no ruler (Use the side of drawing board as a reference to draw straight lines), and a few graphite pencils of different grades for shading that you typically use. A slightly textured paper can help hold graphite more effectively

For preparation, the following resources are particularly helpful:

  • Proko (YT) for understanding form construction and shading.
  • Drawabox for building spatial awareness and learning structured drawing methods.
  • Love Life Drawing (YT) for observation skills and proportion practice.

If You don't have much time just watch these and practice:

English Literature Aptitude Test

The English Literature test assesses your critical thinking and command of the language. The test asks for your previous school and total Matric English marks to judge your foundation. It is typically a thought-provoking, reflective essay that requires deep personal insight.

Example Essay Prompt

  • "Reflect on a person in your life who acts as a lesson for you through their eccentricities or choices. Describe how their behavior affected you."
  • "Literature allows us to experience lives other than our own." Discuss a character or person who changed your worldview.
  • "Adversity introduces a person to themselves." Reflect on a challenging experience that shaped your current identity.
  • "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." To what extent do you agree?

Articulation Skills

If you can express your thoughts clearly and logically, this test is easy. Focus on clear sentence structures, Grammar and meaningful text rather than fancy words.

Note: I'm making this guide based on my personal experience. If you want to add something helpful, please leave a comment for future Applicants. If any of you has a question, feel free to DM.

Skipped Inter Board Exams

So my sister who is in first year had to skip two exams because of her medical condition. She has been a topper and scored 95 percent in matric. Now, what is the college policy? Would they let her sit in second year? She skipped maths and islamiyat. She hasn't walked since 5 days and the condition is very serious.
