Solo birthday ideas

Hey all, I made a post the other day about hotels to celebrate my birthday but turns out they're too expensive for my budget, so I pivoted to just spending a single day out the house. What would you guys do to celebrate your birthday alone.

P.s. I'm turning 20, prefer to not be social, am a gay guy, and would prefer things to not need hard reservations so that I can take my time doing each thing, although I am open to it if it is worth it to me. Thanks in advance.

How much do employers around Kissimmee care about colored hair?

Thinking about getting blue balayage/highlights before summer, but I’m also planning to look for some part-time work around Kissimmee/Orlando.
Not talking about full neon blue hair — more like partial bright blue pieces mixed into dark hair.
For people who work here locally, would that actually hurt my chances for jobs like:
retail
cashier
restaurants
tourist shops
random side jobs
Or do most places not really care anymore? (the blue part may like this in the picture..)

Good cheap hotels

So my birthday is coming up and I was thinking about how I wanted to celebrate it and landed on getting a hotel seeing as I really just want to be alone for it. Does anyone know any good hotels in or around downtown Kissimmee for 1 person, preferably under $100 for 2-3 days because I only work part-time. Also prefer if there is no deposit but willing to pay it as long as the place is nice enough.

Side note: what would you all do for your birthday alone in that area(I'm not a social person or old enough to drink so preferably nothing contradicting that)

Thanks in advance

Mexicans in Orlando?

Hi! we are deciding on moving to a city within Florida and visited Kissimmee, Orlando, recently (downtown Kissimmee) and fell in love with the lake & park & small walkable downtown along with the major diversity! However there weren’t many Mexicans at all and for family related reasons would like to find a place that may have more of that. I’m not sure if other parts of Orlando or Florida or Tampa has an area like Kissimmee, we have explored Tampa but it seems more spread out and harder to assess.

Have also considered Texas such as Austin but not sure if the vibe of a college town is for me; Houston & Dallas seems to have an older crowd vibe that might align more but don’t think they have the beautiful water and greenery Orlando had when we visited.

Have also considered Colorado but never been.

Thank you so much in advance for your advice and insight.

Help with endocrinologist!

Has been an absolute nightmare to find anyone with an ounce of knowledge on this. My husband is a Transman and we've been trying to get him set up, but every call to any office gets us with:

" I do not treat transgender people nor will I ever."
" It goes against the bible/beliefs." (This one has happened a lot)
" I do not know what a transgender thing is, so I can not help you."
" Planned parenthood, but they are not primary care."

Please any help, we're currently driving an hour into Orlando for one, but it's such a pain in the backside to do that. Any suggestions?

Houses up for Auction

Okay so I’ve been researching Kissimmee and other areas surrounding Orlando to potentially move there in the next few months. I noticed on Zillow there are tons of houses listed as up for auction. What is the reason for that? Is it hard to maintain a job down there, sketchy realtors that don’t disclose proper info., crime rates, or anything I should be aware of before continuing to look in the area? Just kind of threw a red flag for me and I was curious. Sorry if this is a stupid question/post or a known thing.

why are there 4 entire OCSO vehicles pulled over on 192 to interact with the unhoused folks who are sitting on a public bench?

haven't set up SDRtrunk fully yet and wanted to know what was actually going on. doesn't seem like they're taking them to a shelter and i dont see it in active calls.

What unit are we picking

Left side full Pool view 4th floor with elevator
Top right Partial pool view with courtyard 4th floor with elevator
Lower right 1st floor unscreened patio and mini fenced in yard.

This is in Florida.

-I work remote
-I need sun
-I have a small dog that’s lazy but always cold so debating if he rather just lay on a little sunbed on a screened in patio vs attempting to play in mini backyard (but will it be constantly wet, 🪳,🐊, etc

These are basically all the same price point

Does anyone know if/when Fazolis on 192 is going to open? We were excited to see it built but it doesn’t seem like there has been any movement recently. Thanks!

Best signal for eSIM in Kissimmee (Hwy 192 area)?

Hi! I’m going to stay in the Kissimmee / Disney area for a few months for work and I’m trying to decide which carrier to use.

I care more about stable signal and coverage than super fast speeds. I’ll mostly be around Kissimmee, Disney area, Walmart, apartments, etc.

Would you recommend T-Mobile, AT&T, or Verizon around this area? Especially for indoor signal and daily use.

Also planning to keep this number long-term after I go back to China, so eSIM and Wi-Fi Calling matter to me too.

Would really appreciate local opinions 🙏
