Koala FX or other multi-FX…?

so i’ve quickly upgraded to Samurai then the Mixer and now….

it seems awful similar to the built in FX (minus the XY pads and Scenes, anything else?)

are there other multi-FX that you’d consider over the Koala version?

does it only work as an Auv3 plugin, or does it integrate within the app itself?

looks like it hasn’t changed in the 5+ years since it was released.

what should i know before purchasing?

thx!

ps: i do have a SP 404 mk2, but i want a multi-fx plugin as well

Auto slicer on Dawnbeat vs. Koala

I really been liking the “evenness” of Dawnbeat’s auto slicer vs. Koala. Dawnbeat seems to find the transient easier without too many mistakes whereas koala needs more user assistance. Could it be that I’m not using the koala slicer correctly? I’ve added the same sample into both apps, and hit auto slicer, and Dawnbeat outputs crisp transient lines or Koala. I still use Koala for the workflow and Dawnbeat lacks choke groups, so I’d like Koala to do the same. As of now, I’m chopping in Dawnbeat and resampling in koala. I don’t know if I’m looking for help necessarily, and I’m definitely not trying to hate on Koala, so I guess this is just a rant.

Good midi controller/pad.

Looking for a MIDI pad controller that pairs well with Koala Sampler. My priority is responsive pads and the ability to MIDI-map knobs/faders/buttons to control Koala’s effects during live performance. Any recommendations?

EC-2 controller for Koala full demo and rundown

Hey again sorry for spamming , my first video shown on this post was a bit rushed and lacked proper demonstration how EC-2 works, so here is full 12 minute video explaining how device is setup and customized. There's a description in earlier post but the video explains it better.

Controller works with Koala on mobile but not on tablet. Any ideas?

Hi all, I recently bought a MPD218 to control Koala. It works great on my mobile but NOT on my tablet: when I try to assign MIDI there is no reaction whatsoever on the software.

I have the latest version of Koala on both devices, paid version, downloaded from the same google account. I thought maybe Koala allowed that on one device only but I tried the tablet before I tried the mobile so, if that were the case, the tablet should be working and the phone should not.

Mobile:

  • Mi10T Lite
  • Android 12

Tablet

  • Galaxy Tab S6
  • Android 13

Apps and OS are updated to the latest version, so I don't know what else to try. Anyone can help?
