The new album feels off
I'd love to get other people's thoughts on the new album! I've only been a fan of Kodaline since Politics of Living (which has kept its place as my personal favorite album of all time ever since 2018), but I love literally all of their music except that Christmas single they released lol
The new album just feels... weak? Like the lyrics feel really simple and the instrumentals don't feel as interesting or unique. Most of the songs on this album are about the same thing, losing love, and it started to feel a bit too repetitive after the 4th or 5th song. I know there are references to past lyrics throughout the album and that's fun, love that. But after one listen I don't feel like replaying any but maybe two of the songs on this album.
Idk, I'm sure this album means a lot to other fans so I would love to hear different perspectives! Maybe I just need to give it another chance.
