Hey guys, I am from Trivandrum. I am looking for recommendations for good coaching centres in Kollam for Banking and SSC exam preparation. Please share genuine reviews if you have attended any.
I’ve been considering setting up a small coconut oil mill, most likely in my own village or maybe in the Kollam area. To be honest, I’m still in the early planning stage and would really appreciate any kind of suggestions, guidance, or practical tips you might have. Whether it’s about the machinery I’d need, sourcing coconuts, permits, marketing the oil, or potential challenges I should watch out for — anything helps. If you’ve done something similar or have experience in the edible oil business, I’d be especially grateful to hear your insights. Thanks in advance!
Arkelum aryo..pls help. This is 3rd post. Arum onnum prynila

Can anyone suggest hidden places to explore some peaceful way around 100KM surrounding
I started using Shaadi.com recently and now I’m genuinely confused about what some guys there are actually looking for in a girl.
One pattern I noticed is that a lot of people, especially from Thrissur and Kottayam, seem to prefer girls only from their own place. Sometimes they send me a connect request first, we start talking, and only later they ask my native place. The moment I say I’m from Kollam… silence. No reply after that.
Is native place really that big of a deal in matrimony sites?
I genuinely want to understand what people here are prioritising while searching. Are guys not looking for things like education, career, compatibility and decent communication anymore? Because honestly I thought those things mattered more.
At this point I’m just confused whether matrimony apps are for finding a life partner or for district-wise filtering.
I have a msi laptop which i need to get serviced . I don’t want msi authorised service centre just a trustable local laptop repairing shop in kollam
Spill some teaaaaaaa😌
Yesterday i saw a post on the same topic but it looks like the op deleted that post. Anyone who studied in universe chathannoor? What was your experience? I have seen similar experiences like mine in the earlier post.. saying that they got slutshamed or called names by the SIR there! Even shaking your legs out of anxiety was said as you had more sexual energy and you are trying to release that energy by that!

Anybody know anyone who does room renovation work? Mainly need wall and ceiling work since it’s all worn out, plus bathroom extension. Not renovating the whole house, just one room. No tiles/flooring work needed. Looking for someone who can do the work neatly with good quality materials.
Last time we hired someone for another section of the house, they gave a small quote initially but the final cost became huge, plus there were lots of delays and mess. So looking for someone reliable and fair with pricing.
Hi All! I am looking for a an internship/practical exposure for my brother who graduated from NIT Calicut with BTech EEE. Since he is presparing for masters, he is looking for a practical experience in similar field in Kollam. Please advise as he is taking coaching online now.
Hi, I m 20M, my native is here and I go to my achamma veedu here since i started existing, mostly during vacations, but my father never let me go outside the house saying there is pamb and patti so I don't know much about the place, but now I m 20, I m here till 19th may for my sem break and I have a feeling he might let me go outside, so what can I do here ? Are there any places to visit? I checked google maps and it's..... Uhh I didn't see anything other than Jatayu Para and even that is a bit far

I lost my aunt recently, very suddenly and it has affected our entire family deeply.
My parents migrated out of Kerala in the 80s due to work and survival needs and I was born and raised outside Kerala. Even though I grew up away from home, Kerala never stopped feeling like home to me. I did my graduation there, have many friends there and I’ve always looked for excuses to reconnect with my roots, culture, food, language and people.
Over the years, many relatives have aged, moved abroad or sadly passed away. After this recent loss, my mother said something that really stayed with me:
“If something happens to me tomorrow, I want to go back where I came from.” - This hit me very hard.
My mother is nearing retirement now and while we still have our life and base outside Kerala, I feel it’s important for us to slowly rebuild some connection back home, not just emotionally but physically too. A small place of our own. A quiet space. A second home.
I’m not looking for luxury or commercial investment. I’ve been thinking about buying a small farmland/plot somewhere in South Kerala, preferably between Trivandrum to Alappuzha side (especially Kollam region if possible). The dream is simple: a peaceful piece of land, maybe some farming and eventually building a small farmhouse/second home where my family can slowly reconnect with our roots and possibly move our base there someday.
I honestly have very little practical knowledge about:
Is buying small farmland in Kerala practical nowadays?
What legal or practical things should I be careful about?
Maintaining land remotely
Whether building a farmhouse/vacation home is realistically possible
Good peaceful locations that are still reasonably accessible
Any trustworthy leads, advice or experiences would genuinely help.
So I’m posting here hoping people with experience can guide me a little.
For me, this is not just a real estate decision. It’s emotional too. Maybe many people who grew up outside their native place will understand this feeling, wanting to return to your roots before time quietly moves everything away.
Thank you ❤️
