[PROJECT] Kumo Desu Minecraft Mod – Evolution System + Skills Already Working – Looking for Contributors (Modeling, Building, Design, etc.)
Hi everyone!
I’m currently developing a Minecraft mod based on Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? (So I’m a Spider, So What?), and I’m looking for people who are interested in helping bring this project to life.
Current Progress:
- Full RPG system implemented (HP / MP / SP, stats, traits, etc.)
- Spider evolution system with branching paths
- Skill system with multiple categories (active, passive, resistance, etc.)
- Custom UI (status screen, skills menu, evolution interface)
- GeckoLib integration for animated entities
(See images for current in-game systems 👆)
Right now, the biggest bottlenecks are:
- 3D Models (GeckoLib / Blockbench)
- Structures (dungeons, caves, world design)
- Textures
- Skill behavior design & balancing (since a lot of skills don’t have clear info in the source material)
I can handle coding, systems, and implementation — but I really need help on the creative/content side.

Almost done with Vol1 (audiobook) - Appraisal
While the complaints about Appraisal giving headaches are understandable, I don't get why both Protag and Katia complain about not being able to gain Proficiency from using the skill on the same thing.
Are they not aware of how many 'things' there are?
It's not as if they need to scan a new type of 'thing' - Protag got most of her levels by scanning the same types of monsters over and over again - and we know that the 'thing' in question can be any'thing' - Protag appraises both the walls and individual rocks when she first starts using the skill.

Holy shit that last volume was kinda bad/Anticlimactic
Everything from volume 1 until volume 14 or 15 was great ,but the final one is super rushed and I really wanted a proper after story for all the characters too BUT top 5 title drops in my book lmao.

Found a cute Kumo Desu minecraft mod
Greater Taratect Kumoko looks like she has a sexy ass mustache. Arch Taratect Kumoko looks like a burnt out wage slave in their 80s. Queen Taratect looks like the aforementioned wage slave but on demon time.
Dunno why the mod creator gave taratects true spider mouthparts, not complaining.

How much time did kumoko pass in the labirint?
I was wondering how much time did she pass in the labirint because, julius said that the dragon egg was discovered in the labirint 10 years ago, and shun its in this moment i think around 15/16 years old, but it seams strange that kumoko pass over 6 years just in her first home, so if anibody could explain this to me i would be gratefull
