Don't Use this Place for Photoshoots in Kunming

I saw this Kunming studio on rednote which looked very good. The aesthetics was what I was looking for and everything looked very clean. However beware of this place unless you like to be scammed. The salesperson spoke to my dad because he knows Mandarin and they worked out a deal where we would pay 1K (USD) for 4 looks for a total of 60 pictures. I do not know how to speak or read Mandarin but I was told to sign a contract (that I cannot read) and my translation app could not accurately translate everything. Not to mention the salesperson did not allow my dad to be there during the contract signing, stating that I can use my translation app. When it was time to select the pictures, we were told we can only select 30 pictures instead per the contract that I signed even though we were told 60 pictures. Since the salesperson obviously knew I was a foreigner, she made sure my dad wasn't there to verify the correct contract so I signed the wrong contract and got cheated out 30 pictures.

Moving to Kunming for a semester

Hi!

I will be moving to Kunming as a exchange student for a semester, and I would like to get some tips to make the most out of it :)

I will be in Chenggong campus, but I would like to find my own place or a flat to share but have my own room. How easy is it to rent as a foreign student? Which websites should I use to look for an apartment?

Any info is much appreciated!
