What is worth buying in Japan?

Old guy here 50 years traveling with the family to Japan this summer.

Is it something in the RC area that is worth buying in Japan? I have not been into this hobby since a child but want to get back. My focus in the start will be smaller stuff to run inside or in the large office I’m working in.

Are things now produced internationaly with the same prices everywhere or are there still some things much cheaper and special made in Japan?

Primarily looking for RC cars, but open for other fun RC or thinkering stuff worth looking into. Robotics and electronics/mechanical kits are also welcome

Thanks for all the great stuff posted here.

Inherited a DeAgostini/Kyosho Red Bull RB7 1:7 Nitro RC Car - Does it look complete? What’s it worth?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently inherited what I believe is a DeAgostini/Kyosho Red Bull Racing RB7 1:7 nitro RC car.
A family member started building it around 10 years ago, then lost interest and it ended up boxed away in a garage. I’ve now been given it, but I know absolutely nothing about nitro RC cars.

I haven’t tried to start it or test it because I’d rather not risk damaging anything. My plan is to sell it honestly as untested.

From what I can see, it includes:
Kyosho GX-21 nitro engine
Kyosho KT-200 2.4GHz transmitter (boxed)
Painted Red Bull body shell
Nose cone
Front and rear wings
Driver figure/helmet
Spare clear body shell
Spare fuel tank (still sealed)
Spare wheel/tyre
Original decals (still sealed)
Original manuals and exploded diagrams
Multiple unopened DeAgostini/Kyosho issue packs with genuine parts
Various tools and accessories
A few questions:
Does it look complete, or can anyone spot anything obvious that’s missing?
Am I missing any of the items needed to run it? I don’t appear to have an AC charger, glow starter or a receiver battery, but I honestly don’t know whether those were originally included or are normally purchased separately.
What would you realistically expect this to sell for in its current untested condition?

Would you sell it exactly as it is, or would you recommend doing anything before selling?

If anyone is genuinely interested in buying it, feel free to send me a message.

I’ve attached plenty of photos of everything that came with it.
Thanks in advance—I really appreciate any advice!

New Dirt Cross Build with questions.

Loved my Dirt Master (now a RB5 SP2) so I bought the dirt cross and started with some option parts. This handles great! But as expected the exposed spur gear is an issue. One battery pack (not even) on my backyard dirt track and the spur is toast. I have some foam tape coming, but are there any other modifications you have made or seen to help protect the spur gear from debris?
By the way, this has a Ezrun 4100kv motor, Max10 G2 ESC, small bore velvet shocks up front, big bore in the rear, metal diff cross pins, aluminum suspension holders in the rear with 65.5mm CVDs and long arms (not sure what they are from as there is confusing info out there, but I think they are RB5 SP arms) and CVDs up front. It runs great!
