Poly

Took my 2nd poly about 3 weeks ago at the end of the polygraph the deputy just told me that she doesn’t see anything and that no news is good news . But she was going to send it to Quality control to double check if anything pops up.
Haven’t heard anything back from my BI

Review Time Frame

To those who requested a review of a psych DQ, how long from your submission of the request did you receive the review? And to a few who appealed, did it make a difference in the prior decision. If not, how long did they give you before you could reapply.

So i got an email monday saying that i was receiving mail from the department regarding my background investigation. I looked on here and seen that it was a non select. But 2 days passed and i received a conditional offer email from the department. Does anyone know what this means? The letter came in and said non select but still confused on why i got a conditional offer email?

DQed After Psych

After 5 months in the process I've been DQed cited they CAN'T certify that I am psychologically suitable to perform the peace officer duties and responsibilities. During my interview she didn't ask me anything psychological everything was financial related. She specifically mentioned that the department was concerned about my debt. At that time it was over $780,000. I own 6 properties 3 of which were under mortgage but I sold one lowering my debt to just $230,000. Would that be the problem? She talked about the possibility of being bribed and asked me how I felt about the department's concerns about my debt. I told her it was justified but I am not financially irresponsible. I just made a bad financial decision for one of the properties. I have mortgages not credit cards and I live with in my means not influenced by the Jones. I live a plain simple life. I thought that was enough but I guess not. I requested for a review, tomorrow I am going to start hurting for an approved independent psychologist.... Any recommendations?

Morale

With all of the negative news coming out recently about LASD, how are current deputies feeling?

An article stated that all overtime was cancelled and the county stopped save time. The article also mentioned that the county did not have enough money in the budget to purchase basic hygiene supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels.

The article also mentioned that there is going to be a hiring freeze. In that case, how likely is it that those in the process will just not be hired?

Is it really this bad?

Did you take your Poly before the ride along and jail tour? Or did the jail tour and ride along and then the poly? Also What did you wear for this suite and tie dressy shoes?

Welp it’s okay

I am 22 it kinda hurts but I will just apply when I am 25 or 26 to other agencies I am interested in .I probably got a non select due to lack of employment when I was in overseas with my wife waiting her green card interview, and my work history sucks, They made me wait 3 hours I came early because I wanted to avoid traffic but it is what it is l.

Background opinion

I’m looking for some feedback. I recently had my background investigation interview, and it went really well. My investigator mentioned that nothing in my file was concerning, and that a polygraph would be scheduled—he just needed to finalize a few details. Fast forward, I was indeed scheduled for the polygraph, which I see as a positive sign—my investigator said it means my background cleared. He also told me that once the polygraph is scheduled, it’s a pass or fail, and it’s out of his hands. The challenge I’m facing now is that the property where I live just went up for sale, so I’ve had to move, which brought on additional expenses. As a result, I’ve had to start looking for a new job. My concern is, will starting a new job and changing my address affect my chances of being hired?

Will that hiring freeze for LASD affect those of us currently applying or in the process of background interviews and polygraphs?
