My LG 70" Class UQ9000 TV Broke

I bought an LG Class UQ9000 Series LED 4K UHD AI ThinQ webOS TV in summer of 2023. This past weekend I noticed this band and flickering upon turning it on. Long story short, LG tells me this is a panel failure and it would cost more to replace that than to buy a new tv. It is out of the year warranty and I didn't buy extended warranty. How common is this? I'm bummed out and never want to buy and LG TV anymore

Beware!!! Burnt out pixel at the bottom of my LG BX oled after 3 years of using it.

It's an LG BX oled.
My tv is has started deteriorating at a high speed.
It started out with a small section of the bottom edge. Now in less than 3 months after it has extended to this level. Anyone having any knowledge as to why this is happening? And the why in this pattern specificaly. It's almost as if there are hot spots behind the display where all the oled layers are fused together and generating too much heat. Which is blowing out the pixels.

Need some help with lg apps/streaming

Hey everybody, I need some help with my new LG TV. For context I live in Europe so my options are limited in streaming apps. I have all the usual suspects : Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Prime but I want to watch stuff that's not on these streaming sites but is on Tubi which I access with a VPN on my pc but it is not possible on the TV. I can download the Tubi app but it isn't available in my region. Also I have Crunchyroll but it is the absolute worst anime streaming site so I like to take to the seas when it comes to animes. The lg web is also quite bad, I'm used to Google Chrome.

Question is:

What apps do you recommend within Lg WebOs that I don't already have?

Is a Google Chromecast device worth it? Or a google streaming box/stick? Can I download and use a VPN on a Google TV device that I can connect to my LG TV?

What options do I have?

Thanks for all the answers in advance.

LG G6 & 165hz

I bought a new LG G6 65in TV. Ive paired it with my EVGA RTX 3090. Ive been trying to get it to work at 165hz. Cant seem to do it. I know the 3000 series supports DSC & HDMI 2.1. Ive tried multiple 8k rated HDMI cables. Using Windows 11, the only output connected to the card is to the TV. Ive reinstalled drivers, and messed around quite a bit. Any idea on what could be the issue? Anyone else get their G6 to 165hz?

Circle of doom

Hi all, I've had my LG OLED TV a couple of years and its started showing a 'circle of doom' a few seconds after I turn it on or change input. The rotating 'wait' circle flashes a few times before the screen goes blank, and I have to reselect the input to get the picture back. I don't know if this has anything to do with adverts (which Ive turned off) or maybe I need to do a hard reset (anyone know how?), Thanks
