r/LGTVOwners

Just got an LG C5 and while it looks nice and is definitely an upgrade from my old TV, I'm not exactly feeling blown away just yet.

Everywhere I've seen OLED TVs so far, they have looked amazing. Mine just looks pretty nice. Is it just a matter of tweaking settings or something? My main use is watching streaming content (Netflix, Amazon, etc) and PS5 games.

I checked the FAQ hoping to find a checklist or something (turn off all the lights in the room, use movie mode for TV, gaming mode for PS5, etc.), but didn't see anything.

New LG QLED evo TV has white spots

I recently bought a new LG TV. The model name is QNEDBXA. Its a 2026 model. After installation, I saw a few white patches around the edges. I dont think its an edge lit display becasue after a lot of research, I found that from 2026, LG is going with mini LEDs and not with edge lit displays.

The technician who came for installation, the store manager, and another guy who came for exchange, all of them said this is normal. But I am not buying that. It doesn't look normal and feels like defect. I am attaching the pictures. Please tell me if this is okay and its normal to have white patches in miniLED?

I’ll Never Buy Another LG TV

I bought mine in 2021 for $3500 (with soundbar) and right away was shocked at the limited availability of apps. Sure most of the major ones were there, but the lack of selection was just offensive, and definitely seemed intentional.

Now, after 5 years, the selection hasn’t gotten any better. This coupled with the countless issues, like Internet being inexplicably weak off/ on (working on all other TVs in the house), or it deciding to suddenly no longer allow mirroring - I’m effing pissed.

I’m so mad, that while planning a move across country, I’m tempted to leave it behind. I will certainly never buy another LG TV again. Sure, OLED is amazing. But what good is it if it doesn’t work a lot of the time?! No matter how advanced the display tech is, the and connectivity is complete shite.

LG OLED evo AI G6 vs Sony Bravia 7 (ii)

I am in the market for a 65 / 75 inch TV and was considering the Bravia 3 Mark 2, but after I saw the LG G6 at Reliance Digital, I was simply blown away. Much higher in cost compared to the Bravia 3 (ii), but I was ok with downsizing from 75 inch to 65 inch to fit into your budget. But then the Croma guy sent me a video of burn-in on the G6. I am now confused.

Croma salesperson wants to sell me the Bravia 7 (ii) and the Reliance Digital guy wants to sell me the G6. Is the burn-in issue so bad with the latest generation of LG Oled flagship that it will show up in a few months?

Outside of India the G6 comparison happens with Bravia 9 (ii) but due to the Sony Pricing in India, even the Bravia 7 (ii) is priced way above the G6.

Anyone using the G6 can share the real world review?

LG TV YouTube app is dead

My family has 3 different LG OLED TVs 55’-77’ Bs and Cs in two different houses in different countries even and all of them have the same problem - you tube is laggy as hell and most of the time doesn’t work at all. I haven’t confirmed it yet but I have a theory that the traffic might be routed through some proxy for LD YT app - I can’t explain it in any other way. I’m sitting here watching YouTube on my phone over wifi while the TVs are failing to load the same video on both - same wifi or even Ethernet cable. It’s extremely choppy and fails to load even the video thumbnails and YT menu. I tried everything- restarting the TV and the app - nothing helps.

Initially I thought the TV might be old and not keeping up with the newest Apps, but then even my newest LG which is not even 2 years old has the same problem.
I guess my next TV wont be LG OLED.

My LGTV Remote is odd

Note: I accidentally uploaded this to r/LGBT and got flamed by the MOD’s for it.

Instead of a select button, it has a cursor where you can scroll up and down. It’s buggy, and odd, and I don’t know if LG has any alternative remotes.
I’m sure you LGTV experts will know.
