Course Adviceee !!

Hey so i am rn researching for colleges to get admission in , so i am eligible for tier 2(high) iiit , tier2(med) NIT , LNMIIT , Thapar , maybe bits .
But my main ques is which branch i should prefer ece or cse , bcz i see alot of layoff's news of cs employees , so is cse a secure option now or what?
Also another ques : if i get mechanical in bits(pilani)should i take it ? ( i will do mtech after it in aerospace , atleast thats what i am thinking!)
Thank u!!

I heard that there was a non veg place opening in the campus. Has it opened yet? Is it cheap enough to eat daily?

I'll get cse in both Thapar and LNMIIT. Still researching which one is better. If it's really close and the place hasn't opened yet I'd choose Thapar just for this reason😭.

Is getting education loan for LMNIIT fees worth it for CCE? A safe bet?

Is this safe or I should go to lower NITs with lower branches and lower IIITs as per my 62K CRL rank and packages are extremely low there. I am a UP HS I am getting HBTI Electrical, IET Electrical/IT, etc.... very low packages like 6-7LPA.

96.89%ile in JEE Mains, please guide me through about CCE here 🫂

What is CCE about? I'm also interested in ECE more than pure coding (cse), from what I've heard, CCE is like a mix of CSE and ECE, right? And LNMIIT is much more known for CSE and CCE more than ECE I suppose, so even tho I want to go into ECE, taking CCE seems to be fair, right? Would I get it at my percentile? I am considering LNMIIT as my primary backup if I don't clear BITSAT! And could someone please elaborate about CCE in detail?

Advice needed from seniors

I got 97.8%ile ~34.6k rank in mains, I am getting cse in lnmiit. However I am considering taking a partial drop i.e. give mains 2027 and if I get 98.5+ then opt out from college completely and focus on advanced.

(Home state- Delhi)

I want to know the following things in lnmiit pls-

  1. when are sem1 and 2 exams held? (month)

  2. How strict is the attendance policy?

  3. Incase I dont score well in mains next year, is this college worth the fees? (I want to take cse only)

  4. How is the hostel for self studying? is the library there good and what are its timings?

  5. Any other advice you wanna share pls do
