  2. Because it's far from main city, can I get like Swiggy order in like 10-11pm?

  3. For ece or AI&DS student when is compulsory that you need a laptop for projects and stuff?

  4. What type of laptop is better to get for ece or AI&DS? Like gaming or no gpu or something.

  5. Is their gym for every Building separately or just a common gym?

  6. As fresher I would probably get triple sharing so, is their a bathroom for every room? For all three or common bathroom for the floor?

Important

  1. As i am kinda free right now what skills should I learn or things should I do at home?

A little assistance will go a long way, gentlemen.

I bought an Omen 16 Laptop.

Now I have to buy a phone which will last for 5+ years (I plan this to be my first and last smartphone from dad)

Please give some good recommendations. Help from seniors will go a long way.

(P.S. This will be the first smartphone which I shall have exclusive rights for, earlier had a Nokia Button phone tho i know how to operate a smart phone)

Let it not go beyond 40K, please.

Some Queries Regarding This College...

Hello Everyone,

I had some queries regarding this college

I am getting CSE core here

  1. How hard is it to score a 9 CGPA if we study on a regular basis?(As I have high probability for going for masters abroad)

  2. How are the conditions of Labs and Library(by library i mean both the books and study halls)?

  3. How is the "coding culture" right now? Not the past times but current seniors.

  4. I saw some posts about how this college is not allowed in some hackathons... so how's the situation there?

  5. Also if anyone who has knowledge about other colleges... i might get DTU/NSUT Mech , IIITJDM Mech , some other IIITs with ECE and IT.... as for mech branch i have an interest in robotics and aerospace so I can go for masters in those.... So would any of these be a better option over LNM Cse

Thank You for reading till here and if u can help me in any of these i would be really grateful.

Does lnmiit has donation seats?

Guys, LNMIIT mein management vagera ka koi alag se koi quota hai kya, like mera ek cousin hai uske mains mein 91 percentile hai aur board mein 88 percent toh voh extra paise vagera dene ko taiyar hai. Agar koi management quota ki koi seats ya kuch jugaad (donation seats) lag jaaye toh??

Usko mechanical mil sakti hai but shyad usse upper branch chaiye.

Kisiko koi idea hai?

Thanks in advance.

Is the ragging culture at LNMIIT too serious? Recently, I heard some very disturbing things about it, and it feels like we are not joining this college as students, but rather as slaves. Could a senior please clarify this and share their experiences?

Competitive programming scene in Lnmiit vs thapar

I know that lnmiit has a better peer group and coding culture but I want to know how many people(for both thapar and lnmiit) actually make it to icpc regionals and all not just the codeforces ratings. Also what is the cgpa of the people who do make it to these contests(to get a better understanding of how manageable the academics are with cp)? This will play a crucial role in my decision because I want to maintain a high cg and try to be good in competitive programming.

College help!

My waiting list for cse is 76

I am getting DJ sanghvi CSE in mumbai

Should i preffer that over lnmiit?

It can save me upto 10 lakhs but is that worth over the placement scenario?

104 students of lnmiit got 14lpa/14lpa+ ctc according to placement tracker ( there may be more people not sure)

Whereas ,

129 students of DJ sanghvi got 14lpa/14lpa+ ctc according to their official data.

My guess is that in lnmiit tracker they dont include every placement data is that true?

VNIT Nagpur (B.Tech AI&DS) vs LNMIIT Jaipur (B.Tech AI&DS) — Seniors, please share honest feedback

Hi all,

I've received admission offers for B.Tech in AI & Data Science from both VNIT Nagpur and LNMIIT Jaipur, and I'm trying to make an informed decision before counselling deadlines close in.

Would really appreciate genuine, first-hand feedback from current students/seniors of either (or both) institutes on the following:

1. Brand value & recognition

  • How is each institute perceived by recruiters and in the industry — especially for AI/DS specifically and CSE?
  • Does NIT tag (VNIT) carry meaningfully more weight than LNMIIT's private/deemed status for higher studies (MS abroad, GATE, PSU eligibility) and government-adjacent opportunities?

2. Placements

  • What's the realistic placement scenario for the CSE & AI&DS branch specifically — median package, top recruiters, % of batch placed in core AI/ML roles vs generic IT service roles?
  • How active and how good is the intern-to-PPO pipeline at each?

3. Hostel & campus infrastructure

  • Room quality, mess food, Wi-Fi/connectivity, maintenance — how do the two compare day to day?
  • Campus safety and overall living experience?

4. College life & culture

  • Clubs, tech fests, sports, general vibe — academic pressure vs work-life balance?
  • How is the peer group/competitive environment in the CSE and AI&DS branch specifically?

Trying to weigh a well-established NIT brand against a smaller, more specialized private institute known for strong industry tie-ins. Any real experiences — good or bad — would help a lot. Thanks in advance!

Some more questions for LNMIIT seniors (please answer)

Hi seniors!

I'll most likely be joining LNMIIT this year and had a few questions. I'd really appreciate honest answers, even if they're critical.

  1. Campus Size: I often hear people say the LNMIIT campus is "small" or that the campus life isn't that great. What exactly is missing? Is it the number of facilities, places to hang out, sports infrastructure, greenery, events, or something else? Compared to other colleges, what do you actually feel is lacking?
  2. Sports Culture: I enjoy playing basketball and football. Apart from Desportivos, how often are inter-hostel or intra-college tournaments held? Do students regularly organize matches? Are there opportunities to play against other colleges?
  3. Dating Scene: What's the dating scene like at LNMIIT? Is it common for people to date, or is it relatively rare? How's the overall male-to-female interaction on campus?
  4. Freshers' Events: Is there a freshers' welcome or freshers' party? When does it usually happen, and what is it like?
  5. Getting Around Campus: Do most students walk everywhere, or do many use bicycles? Is buying a cycle worth it?
  6. Food: How many places are there to eat on campus? Are there good non-vegetarian options available regularly? Which food outlets do students like the most?
  7. Before College Starts: I have about a month before joining. What should I do during this time? Any skills, courses, or things you wish you had learned before first year?
  8. General Advice: What are some things every fresher should definitely do—and what mistakes should we avoid during the first year?

Would love to hear your experiences. Thanks in advance!
