Some here are possibly already familiar w/DM of the Rings, a 2006 - 07 webcomic by Shamus Young that depicts the LotR films as the result of a bad game of D&D in a world where LotR never existed, which I just realised has a couple of strips tailor-made for this sub. This is from the recently concluded remaster made by Shamus' kids following his death from complications of kidney failure in 2022, starting here.
