To everyone who weighed in to help me price out this 1998 with 199k miles: Thank you!

The average response was that I should pay ~$7,500. Well, I paid a little more than that but I have no regrets. The paint and upholstery are immaculate and the timing belt/water pump were replaced last year, so I'm happy with my decision.

I plan to keep it stock, except for maybe putting GS430 rims and if I can find a way to get Bluetooth without losing CD capability.

$7500. So fresh 100k miles i had the brakes - rotors, calipers, pads, rotted lines replaced. I just had it aligned last week got it back from the shop and I have a slight leak on the rack i believe just needs to be tightened and it till be fine. And in the front there’s a small coolant leak that I simple to fix I just haven’t had the time for. It has a new steering rack it needs a steering pump but it legit just started making a bit of noise but the rest of the car is so quiet it sounds loud. The rear interior is taken out because the old owner was going to put speakers in the car and then his back went out and. He couldn’t finish. I also have new in box speakers, head unit, subs, and all the interior parts in nearing perfect condition this car is an absolute jem body is pretty much perfect runs amazing is on bc coilovers with swift spring that the previous owner had installed by my dad funny enough. It was his buddy’s car. I have another set of wheels but the tires useless. My insta and snap is cole_vq dm if you’re interested.

Requesting help with two things:

1. help me identify this piece of trim and where it belongs. Chat says it's a left hand antenna trim. Does it go behind a door panel?

2. I'm missing the cabin air filter tray. Can't find one on eBay. Are there stl files for 3d printing or a clever way to fabricate one with home depot materials?

I found a LS400 white exterior and grey interior (rare spec to me) the carfax checks out with no accidents or mileage rollbacks. I noticed owner 2 had a lot of tire related shop visits, and owner 3 only had the car for 3 years and only drove 2100 miles. The car was then bought by owner 4 in February of 2026, now it’s for sale again! Is that a lot of sudden change or any red flags? I’m an out of state buyer and figuring if it worth the flight to see the LS400! Thanks!!
