Is this normal?

I received the offer letter from admission at Friday, and when I tried to accept it, I couldn't verify my identity on the portal. Which means I'll have to wait until Monday to call for assistance. But it's written in the mail that the offer only lasts 2 business days. Does that mean if I don't accept it today, the offer will expire?

How long does Latrobe take to send offer letters?

I applied to the bachelor of arts on the first week of june and I still haven’t heard anything. I know classes start next week so I’m stressing.

I need to find a place

Hi, I just finally got the offer from admission for semester two, which will start really soon. I know it's kind of late to ask right now, but where can I find a place to rent near the bundoora campus? Preferably sharing a room with another person, not just house. Thanks a lot for any recommendations.

What’s your monthly budget excluding rent?

First time living in Australia, first time living in a relatively expensive city compared to the majority of the world, I have no idea what to expect.

Are groceries expensive? I heard that a good average of 500-600 dollars a month is the sweet spot to live a proper life in Melbourne.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated as I am not sure how accurate the university living cost estimates are.

Forgot to do the academic integrity module

I forgot to do the academic integrity module and now I have a sanction. I was wondering how I can get rid of it because I cannot access my transcript.

Master by Research/ PhD

I just finished my Master (coursework) degree. Looking for opportunities to apply for PhD but it seems hard because I don’t have any publications. Is there any chances that I still can get in PhD? Otherwise, how can I gain research exp at our uni?

Wrong results

Hello. I got 37 in total in SHE2001 but after submitting the assessments, I saw the marks on my LMS grade it was 82. I have mailed the course coordinator to recheck all the assessments. But is it going to resolve this issue? Help

Marks Reduced

Hey all.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but going by my results I should have passed one of my subjects with well over 50, however my overall result came back with less points than calculated based on assessments and put me under.

Has anyone arrived as a new student without having found a place before?

Hi guys new student here starting my Masters soon. All i’ve been hearing about is how much of a nightmare finding a place in Melbourne is, so this might be me being paranoid.

I found more than a couple of options I’m very interested in, but unfortunately I need a code to apply for them, and that requires my own face to face visit.

Thing is, I really don’t want to commit to a 6 or 12 months very expensive lease without knowing what I’m paying for, so I booked an Air BNB such as to take the time to visit places and make an informed choice.

I will unfortunately be arriving a couple of days after classes start for me, do you think this is a terrible idea? I keep thinking about how places might fly off the shelves in the first couple of weeks since new students will be flocking to Melbourne, but again, really don’t wanna commit without confidence.

bachelor of health science

I want to go to Latrobe for health science but it’s 2 hours away as I catch ptv

The degree at Latrobe is my favourite one- I’ve been looking at all the others across other universities but Latrobe seems most aligned for me but it’s super far and I don’t know if it’s worth the commute

Anyone have any feedback if this can be potentially viable via travel or with the degree (majoring in public health and health promotion) ? I don’t want to do it all online and I cannot figure out how I will make this work? 🥲

Thank you

Anyone want to go see a play or a movie, or do other interesting activities together?

Hi, I’m starting a master’s degree in teaching (secondary) this semester. I’m from the US, just arrived in Melbourne, and will be living on-campus beginning Monday. I’d love to make new friends here, and would be down for lots of different things.

I’m particularly interested in seeing the musicals Waitress and Pride and Prejudice* (Sort Of) while they’re still playing here. Film-wise, I really want to see Supergirl, Toy Story 5, Leviticus, and Alpha right now. And I love museums, concerts (I have a ticket to Laufey on 1 August!), hiking/walking, and anything cultural. I’d love to meet up with anyone from any background, and if there are a few responses, maybe we can do a group activity. Nice to meet you!

Course transfer from arts to law.

Hi, I am a student currently in my first semester at Latrobe doing there Bachelor of Arts. I applied for an internal course transfer to the bachelor of Law at Latrobe, however I am yet to receive a response. My WAM for semester 1 was 82. The minimum WAM to apply for a course transfer to law is an 73, and at first I wasn’t too worried and still had hope I would get in. However one of my friends also doing the Bachelor of Arts who applied for the course transfer too (I’m not sure what her WAM was) got in yesterday. I was wondering since I haven’t gotten a response and she has am I right to assume I was not successful? Honestly I don’t know much about course transfers, and say if all the offers get released in one day or if they gradually get released. I also wanted to ask if anyone has applied for a course transfer if you don’t get accepted do they send you an email saying so, or even update your lodged request on student online to unsuccessful or is the rejection just getting no offer. Honestly I am extremely disappointed and quite disheartened :( and I would appreciate honest advice on whether there is still hope for me to get in both considering my WAM and my lack of offer (so far) Thank you I really appreciate it!

Exam results

Following up to my last post about what mark I would need to past my exam results have been released and my overall mark is 49. Is there any possible way this can be bumped up to 50. Is it worth emailing the subject coordinator?

Internal course transfer outcomes

Will an outcome be processed faster if it is the same course but just at another campus? Or are they all rolled out at the same time, thanks
