If two diamonds look identical and test identical, does origin matter?

Imagine two diamonds:-

  • Same carat
  • Same cut
  • Same clarity
  • Same sparkle

One came from deep underground, the other was grown in a lab.

If nobody told you which was which, would it matter to you?

Interested to hear different opinions. There are no right or wrong answers.

Ouros huggies review

I wanted to share a review on my FIRST reddit purchase. I saw a group buy for diamond huggies with Ouros.

My experience was absolutely positive and if I had to rate it, it would be a 10 out of a 10.

I purchased 5.5mm for my third piercing and 6.5mm for my second piercing.

They were in constant communication with me.

From the moment they received my order, to the moment it went into production, from when it completed production and when the items shipped. They even reached out to me once they saw my package landed in my country and once it was delivered. Outside of the product being absolutely beautiful, their customer service made everything so much better! Highly recommend Ouros for their pricing, quality of products and customer service.

Which setting would look best?

Need help choosing a setting for my 5 ct round brilliant 💍

After what feels like endless research, I’ve finally picked my diamond:
5.00 ct Round Brilliant (lab grown)
E Color
VVS1 Clarity
Ideal Cut
Excellent Polish & Symmetry
IGI Report: https://www.igi.org/verify-your-report/?r=LG_792631924

The diamond will be price matched to the lowest price I’ve found ($1,141 from William & Sons), so now I’m just trying to decide which setting to pair it with.

Here are my top three (all prices below are the total cost, including the diamond):
1. Adiamor$4,355
https://adiamor.com/your-setting?setting=R3138-Plat-Round&diamond=D-80328019
2. William & Sons Jewelers – Fiona$2,501
https://www.williamandsonsjewelers.com/us/products/fiona-accent-diamond-engagement-setting
3. Rare Carat – Skyler Rolled Pavé$4,774
https://www.rarecarat.com/setting/170-Skyler-Rolled-Pav%C3%A9-Engagement-Ring-SideStone/1835656?sp=/diamond-search

Since the stone is fairly large, I’m looking for something timeless, elegant, and secure that lets the diamond be the star. I’m planning on platinum.

A few questions:
- Which setting do you think complements a 5 ct round best?
- Is the Adiamor or Rare Carat setting worth paying roughly $1,850–2,300 more than the William & Sons setting?
- Does one look more durable than the others for everyday wear?
- Are there any red flags with any of these designs?
- If you own one of these settings (or something similar), how has it held up?

I’d also love to hear if you’d recommend a cathedral vs. non-cathedral setting for a stone this size, or if there are other settings I should consider.

Thanks in advance! I’ve stared at these for so long that I can’t tell which one I like best anymore. 😂

Review from a now lifetime customer

Second time customer (first ring I had done with prongs and I ended up not liking it due to snagging and had a second ring made with bezel) Honestly, both experiences have been absolutely fantastic and a huge shoutout definitely goes to Jwel. He's just amazing!

Picking out a ring, especially when you're looking at diamonds just in photos and videos, can be pretty stressful, right? I remember staring at three different options, feeling totally overwhelmed and second guessing everything. But Jwel was a lifesaver! He wasn't pushy at all; he just gave me his honest, super insightful advice and suddenly, making that big decision felt so much easier. He totally took all the pressure off and I walked away feeling really confident in my choice.

And wow, what a choice it was! The diamond itself is absolutely breathtaking. It sparkles like crazy and literally catches everyone's eye – I get compliments on it all the time! You can really see the quality in the craftsmanship too; the ring feels so solid and beautifully made, like it's going to last forever.

Beyond the ring itself, I'm still blown away by how quickly everything happened. Getting a custom piece designed and crafted in just two weeks then having it shipped and delivered to my door in another week? That's seriously impressive! It just shows how dedicated you all are to getting things done perfectly and on time.

Honestly, both times I've worked with RadheVa, it's been such a smooth, fun process. No hiccups, no stress, just pure excitement from start to finish.

Jwel, seriously, you're the best! Your quick replies, genuine advice, patience and the effort you put into making sure I got exactly what I wanted really shine through. My partner and I are absolutely sold on RadheVa for all our future jewelry needs and we're eagerly counting down the days until your website launches!

Thanks a million for consistently going above and beyond and for creating such special, beautiful pieces. You guys are truly awesome💙
