Whitefish Point Lighthouse has guided sailors along Lake Superior since 1861, standing watch over one of the most challenging stretches of water on the Great Lakes. It’s a place where history, resilience, and the power of nature come together. Some destinations don’t just give you a view—they remind you of the stories that brought us here.
Have you visited Whitefish Point, or is it still on your Michigan bucket list?
I returned home for the first time in years
And I finally got to feel alive again. Just for two days, but even that is enough. I will love this place forever and I may go, but it will never leave me.
North Shore Mn hikes
Hi all, I’m a native born minnesotan and i’ve always gone to the north shore on lake superior area. However this time is different and special. I’m taking my friend from california around the north shore and she loves hikes. I want to really blow her socks off with a breathtaking or even just super fun hike. does anyone have any recommendations of good hikes with sightseeing up on the north shore? I only know of a few and they’re not exactly nature hikes. If anyone has any ideas or underrated parks, i’d appreciate it. Thank you!
