I often get questions about my sanguinary guard color scheme . Though it’s never mentioned in lore about their color I did what I thought was cool. I used Balthasar Gold from citadel and gave a nuln oil wash. The guns and spears are Leadbelcher.
My 3 Lamenters in my DeathWatch army, just finished the jump pack assault marine a few minutes ago. And the bald fella on the right was the fella who kicked started my Deathwatch army so he's very special to me
Not sure if this breaks the SM2 rule but I'm mainly asking for lore, I would add photo mode pics to raise the quality of the post but then I would just be rule breaking at that point and I mean no harm, I've just seen other lore posts do the same thing.
Anyways can Lamenters wear the tyrannic war vet chest? I figured I figured since the wiki says they were in the second war but they arent ultramarines successor so the symbol throws me off. Also if you happen to know, where can you buy books/digital books about the lamenters most updated heraldry rules, lore, and best stories?
Brothers! How is this heraldry for Lamenters? I've been looking into their heraldry lately... I've scoured the webs for minis and artwork as well as checked wiki for heraldry rules.
I know that the Lamenters are stated as a Codex Compliant chapter. Now, that has seemingly impressed on alot of brothers to use the official codex rank structure or heraldry. I 1st assumed the exact same... However, i read that being codex compliant doesn't precisely mean that chapter will copy n paste the heraldry as the Ultramarines have in their codex. Being codex compliant is a broad prospect and can mean anything from heraldry to tactics to the organization of the chapter or adherance to protocol. Further, i read that it is not stated that the Lamenters use the box standard codex heraldry. It seems beyond the main paint scheme for battle brothers, ranks are left undescribed for how they differ.
I looked at minis & art / what Google says for each rank, and this is what I came up with in game. How'd I do?
I started to read lamenters lore today i read that after the badad war only 311 lamenter survived and were allowed to fight for the emperor without having the right to train new brother and i also read that after the badad war a lot of brother was killed by tyranid so do you know how many lamenters are actually alive
Painted my buddy's Abaddon.
He plays Black Legion, I play Lamenters, it was only natural.
I love how they both came out.
I finished painting my AoD killteam. I painted them in different yellows to try and lock in the color I want for my army, I'm having hard time between imperial Fist and Iron jawz yellow. Is there a base paint that looks like imperial Fist? I prefer base paints to contrast
A few test models are done now, locking this scheme in. Feel like I should blend more but I’m too lazy
Still need to figure out SG scheme. Dabbling with Bronze / Dark Steel. If you guys have pics of your Lamenters SG, would love to see!
Always liked this model and don’t really plan on using it but it’s cool to have .
After a year and a half playing Kill Team, I've decided to make the leap to 40k with my first army.
I don't know how I'll upgrade them to 2000 points, but I'll learn to play 40k with them. So excited to start!
Assault Intercessor from 4th company this time, some work to do with jump pack OSL and the smaller bits. One more sesh and he done.
Trying to also make convincing urban wasteland as the basing scheme.
I love everything about them and even though I think the Salamanders are a close 2nd for me the Lamenters seem to be the most tragically goodest bois of 40k and I honestly find them way more interesting.
They also seem to constantly get pummeled or screwed over and still are loyalist and fighting.
I want to learn more so why does everyone here like them?
Finished Brother Unluckius is done! Was surprised how much love the WIP got. Your kind words mean a lot to me, been a rough year!
Q: How many would want a step by step post of how to freehand the checkered shoulder? Some folks took note, and its honestly a lot easier than it seems!
Cheers
Lamenter boarding action sternguard, and a terminator + assault
This little big brother got starnded from his battleship
