I'm a slow painter, and as you all know yellow is a tricky colour, but I've managed to paint roughly one miniature per month so far in 2026, mostly to swell the ranks of my Lamenters force ("army" doesn't quite feel like the right word, yet). Including work from 2025 I now have:

• A Captain.
• A Lieutenant.
• A Space Marine.
• A Dreadnought.
• An Assassin.
• A Navigator.

Almost enough to carry out a particularly small-scale, specialist mission. There are some more photos from different angles on my blog, here: For Those We Cherish – Ink, Iron & Lead.

I keep finding it amazing that 1,000 points can be just 17 models for Marines in 40k 2nd Ed, especially when a decent battle size is around 1,500 pts (a little too easy to break at 2k imho).

Anyway, here they are! For a later project to expand to 1.5k, I'm looking at working out a Techmarine, Rhino, Dreadnought and some sniper Scouts.

A little over one and a half month's work on these bois. For my first ever assembly and painting in wargaming I'd say I did pretty good. <3

Hey everyone started my first space marine army and looked through most of the space marine chapters I decided on blood angels but didn’t like the look of the red so I looked at there succeser chapters and liked the Lamenters lore happy hobbying everyone

Gonna hang this soon to be big yellow bastard from my ceiling when its done.

I put this guy in some isopropyl alcohol for a night and after the scrub still had some of the OG yellow left over and it turned almost brown. I decided to apply contrast over it and this was the result! Happy accident.

I come here as a Salamander guest, I got the Armageddon deathwatch box and have started the marines with a boy in yellow as I believe you call them, I have looked into the Lamenters and they're pretty cool, so much so I'll probably paint a squad as them.

I've tried to keep this list fairly lore accurate, while maintaining playability. I recognize that this list may struggle with armor spam, but I'm hoping that the thunderstrike, DCD, and centurions and mitigate the worst of it. Force Disposition Priorities Assets

My bad moons are going to be stealing scrap from my lamenters. I plan to do a bunch of hints to that such as banners and armor. Thought I'd share cause I hadn't really seen anything similar.
