I finished painting my stealth suit earlier than expected, so I took a crack at this spare Eradicator my roomate didn’t want and made my first Lamenter!
Veteran Brother Sargent Casteil, 7th Company, 8th Platoon.
Freehanded chapter pauldron and fire support pauldron, very happy with the results.
It was a mistake making this in the summer. It’s calling me to wear it like the Green Goblin mask.
Paint job is nothing special, ain't winning any golden demons or anything lol.
May these lads have good luck defending cardboard bunkers and neon green and red cacti.
I have some legon of the damned models coming in which I'm going to use with this army. I find it fitting that a mysterious ghost force of good would help the unluckiest of marines
Any conversion or paint job ideas for these? Reaper Miniatures Heartbreakers. I’m thinking of adding a boltgun and chainsword. Maybe yellow body and arms, white or leather brown boots and gloves. Quartered body with a heart icon centrally?
Commissioned my friend Nora (@Noratshere on insta) to make the coat of arms and got the same gal that did Steve Guardsman and Jimmy Gaunt for me to do the ink (@asecularhazer on insta).
Feeling really good about how these guys are turning out!
Recently I purchased a 2nd edition army off eBay, on the random chance that the previous owner is here on Reddit, I wanted to post that they arrived with relatively minimal damage, Techmarine came off his base and the Librarian's power pack came loose but they were easily re-glued.
When all's said and done, they survived the trip to Australia well, you did a fantastic job at painting them and it's apparent you put a lot of time and effort into them, thank you ♥️
They'll be part of my larger Lamenters force once I've got them all painted up, they'll be well loved and played with regularly.
This is not only the very first warhammer mini that I've painted but in fact the first model I've ever fully painted! I've put together several model kits but this is my first try at painting one! Keep in mind in the pictures it is a little hard to tell the difference between the (supposed to be) rust weathering I've don't along some of the edges from the metal trim, you can definitely tell them apart irl!
1000 pts!
Lamenters 3rd Company and a 1st Company Veteran attachment
I used a stamp for the chapter badge because my hands were too shaky lol
I'm thinking about starting an army of Lamenters, but I kinda had a few questions before I just go and spend hundreds of dollars on minis. I like their lore and the look, but better to know a bit more on the modeling-side going it, you know?
1.) Is there a significant difference between running them as standard Space Marines as opposed to Blood Angels (aside from obviously not being able to use Blood Angels characters)?
2.) From experience, painting yellow sucks. I can do it, but I was also considering maybe using rattle cans? Is there a particular brand or type you would recommend (U.S., if that helps with anything)?
These guys are really fun to paint.
Holy hell I’m finally done with this squad. Ignore that there are two guys missing. They’re dead (in storage)
“May the Great Angel carry you swiftly, my brothers.”
Here’s my custom Jump Pack Captain, Cleon. I’m still working on his backstory, but I’m having a ton of fun with him so far.
Whether it’s kitbashing or painting, it’s all part of the fun. I’ve really been enjoying the whole process and all the good times this hobby has brought me.
Hope you guys like him! :D
Brothers!
I was recently working on an alternative scheme for the Lamenters Death Company, since I don't particularly like painting black... but I couldn't resist and tried the classic full-black scheme.
What do you think? Any suggestion on how to improve is always welcome!
