Long Weekend Treasures.

May-Long trip back to the Kootenays paid off this year. Trip included a stop by Berley to drool over fantastic boards. Ended up taking a few home.

Chief Haida Longboard I've had since, like, 2005

This baby is still rocking from my college days bombing hills in the country, to now navigating around the city. Abec 11 gumball wheels, 81A. It's a little fast for the city but at night its sweet and during the pandemic is was like a free for all where i'd bomb down broadway, then use the subway like a chairlift back up.

Getting back into skating at 37

35” cruiser/longboard complete with soft wheels, responsive trucks, and a stable wide-deck

Felt like a kid again 😂

Definitely one of my favs so far

This board is fucking awesome so smooth and easy to maneuver around with. I was looking for something fun cruiser ready and big! I am thinking about the tugboat as well! This board is just so fun!

First board ever at 29! Landyachtz Drop Cat38. Today was day one

Grabbed this beauty a couple days ago. I always thought this would be insanely hard given my lack of any sense of balance.

Cruised around for about 30 mins today and WOW. Had me wondering why I haven’t been doing this all my life. Absolutely loving this new hobby (and board!)

I have a Popsicle but I rarely ride it, Clark a good option?

I just got a Popsicle thinking I could learn to do tricks but I really only like cruising, transition and slappy grinds. I have an 80s cruiser which is good for transition. Can slappy but the wheels are not ideal, 65mm 80a. The Popsicle just feels too small, I'm 6'5, width at 9 inches is fine. However I'm much more comfortable on the cruiser that's 15.5wb. The popsicles truck setup is more turny, so should I just get the Clark deck and put the slappy trucks and 60mm wheels from it onto the Clark? Or is it too big for slappy grinds, maybe better? The only thing I would be losing with the popsicle is a tighter turn on transition than the cruiser.
