10 total egg casings, 300+ caught today, 6500+ total… no real impact on the population where I’ve been working.

Photo is from yesterday when I caught 1000+ in a single day so I don’t dox myself by showing the store brand recyclables I stored them in today.… and the meme I spent all night thinking of because I caught a thousand (one thousing lanterm flied ).

9 casings total, 800+ collected today, 6000+ total (+ bonus photos)

The photos are: 800+ bug haul, two egg casings in the crevices of bark, one uncovered row of eggs, the eggs on the end of a stick (they look almost like sesame seeds—juicy but flat), SLF vs. harvestman.

My partner drew me two stickers for catching so many lantern flies for the bird rescue…

Since another person was kind enough to share their spotted lantern fly cape in my DMs, I figured I would share another kind of art :)

5 casings, 600+ collected today, 5200+ total.

I am still collecting in one place that is less than a square mile. Still no signs of slowing.

No such thing as cruel and unusual for SLFs

Would’ve never noticed it, but it fell off a trailer while I was walking my dog and disoriented itself long enough to be impaled. Now it’s a warning to the others.
