Thoughts on The Theory of The Rolling Stones Foreign Tongues Collaboration as Evidence to Confirm the Appearance of Wolverine and Hulk in Doomsday?
Someone just brought this theory to my attention that has been circulating around for the past few days on this site and its such a creative way to look at the spoilers. I can't cross-post on this sub, but I'll give a brief explanation of the theory connecting the upcoming collaboration between the Rolling Stones confirming the appearance of Wolverine and Hulk in Doomsday.
If we look at the track record of spoilers, the best indicator of spoilers is the merchandise and other items sold associated with the film. There are a lot more stakeholders in the film, than just the team filming it, and if we look at the release of collaborations or toys they've had a track record of confirming Vision in Age of Ultron and even Groot's death in Infinity War.
If we were to look at the upcoming collaborations announced ahead of Endgame, u/GayC0b pointed a lot of these out, but I'll give my take as well because I think he only touches the surface with collaboration with The Rolling Stones for their release of their new album, Foreign Tongues.
The collaboration between Marvel and The Rolling Stones of Vinyl Covers for an Album's release is the first collaboration preceding the existence of the MCU. The last one goes all the way back to the 90s. Marvel has notoriously kept the licensing of any heroes off limits by going after MF Doom in the 90s who was a small underground rapper, and there haven't been any other collaborations like this since.
The first point brings me to my second point. What is the connection between the Rolling Stones and Marvel? To preface I've been an avid comic book collector for DC and Marvel, so I'm pretty used to all of the variant covers and collectors items, but something as a collector that raises my eyebrow for valuation is the fact of a lack of a connection on the surface. Does this confirm a song from the new Stones Album in Doomsday? And going even further why is it this specific assortment of heroes? Black Panther and Iron-Man have consistently been more popular than Wolverine or Hulk in the comic world, so its a very odd choice to choose this assortment. For there to be a collaboration of this caliber being the first since the 90s as well as for it to have absolutely zero connection with Marvel is something that makes no sense whatsoever, and it has to confirm something.
The Cherry on the top of this entire connection is the Stones Hulk Cover with him literally being in London. It has been confirmed that the production has been shooting in Wembley Stadium and all around London, and The Rolling Stones while British have pretty much been exclusively operating in the states since the 70s.
I want to give credit to u/Gayc0b for this because this isn't my own, but I have to say that this is the best evidence of Wolverine and Hulk appearing in Doomsday yet as so many of the rumors and spoilers are "Sources said" and we have to have blind trust.
