Buying a house while waiting for work and residence permit extension
Hi everyone,I’m looking for some advice on a situation related to buying a house. I’m currently in Denmark on a Pay Limit Scheme permit and applied for an extension before my previous permit expired. The previous permit has expired now, but since I applied in time, I understand that I’m legally allowed to stay and continue working while the case is being processed. It has already been about 3 months, and SIRI has said it may take another 2–3 months. My husband also works under the Pay Limit Scheme and has a valid residence and work permit. We are planning to buy a house together, but we’re unsure how my current status might affect this. The housing market is moving quickly, and we’ve already missed a few good options while waiting. Does anyone know if I can still be included on the house ownership documents while my extension is pending? Since I am legally staying and working, does that count as sufficient legal residence for this purpose, or is it risky to proceed before the new permit is approved? Any advice would be really helpful as SIRI cannot answer this question for us, and neither are the real estate agents able to help us Thanks so much in advance!!
