July 2026 Build Challenge: “Famous Monument” 🗽 | 22 Pieces Max

Another monthly challenge is here! This time just for us, no collab with another sub.

The theme for July is:

“Famous Monument”

Restrictions:

  • You can only use 22 pieces or fewer
  • The builds can be made in Studio, but bonus points (totally imaginary) if built irl
  • You can post as many as 3 entries

You have until Tuesday, July 21st to post your entries with the “Build Challenge Entry” post flair.

Originality is once again the most seeked factor, and it will once again be you who will choose the winner. During the last week of July, a poll will be posted so that you can decide what the best build is.

The winner will get a unique user flair they will be able to show off on r/Minilego, and their creation will be spotlighted on our Instagram.

Let's see your entries!

Barlochan Lake Cottage in Lego!

I started this build from the architect's project page, then I scoured the architect's Instagram in an attempt to figure out which of the close-up shots were of this property so that I could piece together some of the missing bits. Still got the initial entry roof line QUITE wrong before I found a front photo in a news article.

Figuring out how to make three sets of 4x6 doors look like they were different heights was by far the most interesting element of the build!
