Trade Ultimate Edition for Infrared?

Opportunity 15 minutes away from me via carmax a 2025 IS500 in infrared with only 3,000 miles on it for $75k. I'm going to check it out within next few days. Only reason is because I'm not really a fan of the Wind color on my Ultimate Edition. I'm not doing vinyl wrap or color ppf on my Ultimate edition so crossed that option off.

I got my Ultimate edition brand new at MSRP. The idea of losing the exclusivity of the Ultimate edition and being original owner kinda bothers me though. And I feel the 2 toned interior and matte black wheels are cool as they grew on me.

The infrared appears all stock

What do you guys think?

Should I buy an IS500?

So, I currently own a ‘19 ES350, and ‘21 LC500.

I put a good chunk of miles on my cars, live basically in Michigan. I dont drive my LC500 in the winter, and was thinking about trading in my daily/winter es350 for an IS500. Am I being dumb? Should I drive an IS500 in the winter? Are the back seats or trunk usable at all?

I’m basically looking to get talked out of getting the IS500 because it’s a dumb purchase for a daily, but by golly, if people are driving their IS500s without a problem, I might get sold.

Edit: Clarification, there is NOTHING wrong with the ES350, and keeping it is absolutely an option.

Debating: Keep or Sell IS500?

Folks who sold your IS500, do you deeply regret it? Am I stupid for entertaining this? If you did sell it, what did you replace it with? Did you choose even sportier or more practicality?

Rear caliper snap on cover

Bought 2024 used 3months ago...was detailing wheels this weekend and thought the snap on covers fell off/stolen.

Reached out the lexus parts...the rears don't come with covers. So why the exposed clips then???

Its definitely a 500. Just oddly modified. Smh

This underneath one side. Can get further under

Hey guys! So I have had my is500 for about 6 months now. When we purchased, didn't realize that the previous owner modified the exhaust from a quad to just double. I wish I had a picture to show what I mean. Im assuming the previous owner wanted to quiet the sound. Im not sure. Can anyone tell me what that could be? I definitely want to upgrade. Any suggestions 🤔

IS500 exhuast

Just recently bought is500 first thing i did was get full body PPF and full ceramic tinits. Driving the car it felt really quit until I drove it in sport + mode and by the time I hear some noise I am already going over speed limit I bought the dry air intake filter drop in which helped a little . I also ordered apexi resonated mid pipe waiting for it to arrive later this month but was wondering should I go with the apexi axle back exhust as well ?

Budget of 3k for exhaust....what would be your recommendation?

I will pick up my 2023 IS500 this week. It's a daily driver with 60% highway driving each day. I will be investing in coilovers around the same time as the exhaust. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm very new to modifications so be gentle please.

1st Time Sharing my 2024 IS500 F Sport Performance Premium

Hi team! I haven’t shared nothing since I started in this group. So, 1st Time Sharing my 2024 IS500 F Sport Performance Premium. I ordered in February 2024 and received it March 16, 2024. And immediately, I added the ceramic coating. It has 24,944 miles running like a champ. Zero issues. No modifications at the moment. But I would like to upgrade to the RCF or the Ultimate Edition Brembo Brakes, plus other stuff… I already performed the Lexus Technical Information System bulleting number L-SB-0048-25 for the 2022-2025 IS500 titled: “Knock/Clunk When Slowing/Coasting to a Stop” (Transmission Update). Made a BIG Difference!!! Shift so much faster!!!

Talking about that, if you are wondering if your 2025 IS500 need it, according to the information that I found, all the 2025’s already have the update. But, I always recommend to ask your service advisor at your Lexus Dealer.

God Bless Yall!

Performance upgrades

Sup y’all. Been owning my IS500 for a week now. I love it. There are some mods I’d like to do to fine tune it. I don’t want it to be track car oriented but I do enjoy serious canyon carving. I’ve done some research and came to conclusion that these may be the best mods to do for daily driving’s I’d just like to hear your feedback

1: mod one: LCA bushing from the RCF.
2: Swift R lowering springs
3: lower control arms
4:top mounted chassis brace
5: oil & tranny cooler
6: this is a maybe but possibly 6 piston ISF brake conversion.

Would this be ideal for a daily driver? I know it won’t be M3 level, and I do want to retain the OEM AVS

Body kits (splitter,diffuser etc…)

Where y’all getting your front splitters, diffusers and side skirts from? NIA & Tom’s are extremely overpriced for the non carbon options. I understand the front splitters is longer than a IS 350, but what about the side skirts & diffuser?

Trade UE for Flare Yellow

Hello all,

I have the opportunity to trade my IS500 UE around 9k miles for a 2025 12k mile Flare Yellow IS500. It is a straight up trade.

Love the brake upgrade of the UE but not a huge fan of the interior. What would you guys do? I drive a ton for work and basically live in my car.

IS500 Ultimate Edition Vinyl Wrap

I had a Full Front + Rocker panels XPEL PPF with XPEL ceramic coating installed a few months ago. Ceramic coating was applied to entire car. I wanted to have this done immediately to avoid chips as I was getting some that I touched up prior to PPF installation. And a tiny chip in headlight upon close inspection I was inflicted with.

The wind color unfortunately has not grown on me like I was hoping. I'm thinking of having a vinyl wrap installed such as KPMF iridescent red or some other beautiful shade of red. I'm still searching for a high quality vinyl wrap (recommendations welcome)

But my concern is that the car already has full front PPF and ceramic coating installed! From what I understand the ceramic coat at least will have to be removed in order for the vinyl to adhere properly. And then there is the issue of any PPF lines/edges under the vinyl making the vinyl not look smooth I think. The removal of ceramic coat worries me a bit.

Yeah I know this sounds backwards but this is my situation.

The Wind color is too flat and not really any depth to it like other classic lexus colors. At dawn and dusk it appears too "clay like" beige/sandy and sometimes throws off a yellowish tint which really bothers me. Also the color is way too inconsistent throughout the days. This is very apparent in various photos and videos where this Wind color appears like 5 different ways. I've studied this color very intensely and carefully in many different scenarios and it is an extremely finicky color
