Not your typical Lexus family

Since we choose to not have kids, it's fun thinking my wife and I could have raised an 8 year old kid by the time these cars are paid off. Final editions, no kids and no regrets!

Winter is500

I live in CT and was wondering how people manage the is500 in snow. Is winter tires enough? If not was going to sell and change to an awd car.

Any Ark GRIP cat back exhaust owners here?

Looking for a used aftermarket exhaust system and I found a Ark GRIP Performance exhaust for sale near me.

I can't find alot of owners on the subreddit or club lexus forum post history.

Any owners here run it or have experience with it?

I've read to get all new OEM gaskets to prevent a CEL that is apparently associated with the cat back system?

Cant find much info on drone etc.

Would love to hear any info on the system

Black “IS 500” Badge Installed!

Swapped the chrome “IS 500” badge on the trunk for a black one to match the rest of the trim. Happy with how it turned out.

I’ll rate myself a 3.5/5 for workmanship haha. The two 0s are slightly different widths. Yikes.

I just used a hairdryer and some fishing line. Took about 5 minutes.

Tempted to Sell

Have had my 23 for 3 years now. 17k miles. I have zero complaints. Lowered with revel axle back and a few other small touches.

But I think I’m getting bored. I drive it maybe once a week to work but that’s about it. With gas prices being what they are it doesn’t help either.

Honestly I have no idea what I’d replace it with though. /vent

Swift Springs + Bonoss Spacers on a LE 🔥

After 4 years of ownership and 5,500 miles I finally decided to pull the trigger on lowering the car. I searched high and low for a shop I could trust and picked SVG in Santa Clara. They did an excellent job and handled my baby with care.

I was torn between the Swifts and Eibachs but ultimately decided to go with the Swifts as progresssive type springs overtime could lower even further. I wanted an OEM+ look, which I think the Swift springs do just the trick. I also added the Bonoss spacers with 15MMs in the front and 20MMs in the rear. They are great!

Now I will drive it a bit and then take it back to get aligned and dialed in.

The first drive felt softer in a weird way and the bumps are more direct and quick if that makes any sense. The car does feel more planted as well.

Thanks to everyone on these forums for leading the way with this popular setup, made me feel at ease knowing it was going to look SICK!

Couldn’t be happier!

List of current mods:
Lowered on Swift springs
Bonoss 15MM/20MM spacers
Apexi Non-Resonated Mid-pipe
Blacked out IS 500 emblem
Blacked out side mirror caps
35% all round Ceramic tint

Future mods:
Powdercoat exhaust tips to a black chrome color
Black out front and rear Lexus oval emblems and wheel cap emblems

400 mile brake dust

The matte black wheels turn bronze after about 400 miles lol

Went on a 400 mile one-way road trip today. I left the house with black wheels

Any tips from the group? Are there brake pads y’all like?

I’m not really usually one to detail my car very often. I usually get it detailed when I get my oil changed.

This is the IS 500 ultimate edition with the bigger Brembo brakes.

Wonder why there is a shortage in lexus is500s in Canada?

Bunch of dealers are buying them for peanuts and sending them to the us, where they sell it for 20-30 k profit, in Canada its a hard car to sell but in the states they fly, don't sell your is500 in Canada for peanuts to money hungry dealers, instead find a buyer from the states, you will get offered 60 k - 70 k usd which is like 80-93k canadian. Ur welcome

Vehicle maintenance info not working on infotainment? Oil question

Hi everyone,

I bought a 2022 is500 last month and playing through the internal options on the infotainment center.

When looking at the vehicle settings, maintenance section, I click on oil, coolant, trans fluid etc, and its all just blank. Why wont any info show? I did an oil change a few weeks ago and reset the oil life on the dash menu with the steering wheel button, but this section shows nothing.

Additionally my vehicle did not come with an owners manual.

I see the oil changes are every 5k miles / 8,000 km. Is that with full synthetic oil? I put 5w-30 Pennzoil ultra platinum in it (always use pennzoil on my vehicles).

Smart Access Card Key

Beyond the limited edition Flare Yellow model of the IS 500 FSPP, can anyone confirm whether or not the smart Access card key works for the other 2025 models?

DIY “Fix” for IS 500 Ultimate Edition Spare Hump

For those with the Ultimate Edition, yall know there’s a hump in the trunk for the larger spare to accommodate the larger brakes.

I saw a thread on club Lexus about an aftermarket spare, but I’m gonna risk it with no spare for a while.

Materials: 1 sheet of hardboard + jigsaw + 2 pieces of foam.

I traced the spare tire cover and cut it out with a jigsaw. Placed two pieces of foam to support the board. Fits nice and neat!

And since I already had the all weather trunk mat, I didn’t need to match the carpet color.

Now I have full trunk space again for those Costco runs!

Need help routing wires to interior fuse box

I am doing an underglow kit install on my 23’ IS500 and I can’t figure out more to route the power and ground wires from under the car into the driver side interior where I have the wiretap ready to go.

Does anyone have a video or anything I can use for reference? I don’t even know if I need to take the undercarriage covers off
