Is there a way..

Is there a way to make it that the app says I’m at home but I’m actually somewhere else?

I want to surprise my sister for my nieces high school graduation. She lives in Hawaii, but she has my location on Life360 and if I pause it, she’s going to know something is up.

Am I wrong

my wife took me of the location tracker app because I said I didn't want to be tracked all the time she refuses to add me back and now I'm unable to see her location and she stays gone for hours and doesn't answer the phone or text me back, I don't know if she was just doing this out of context because I said I wanted the option to turn it on or off and she removed me completely

How do i spoof/fake my location

I know one way is getting a cheap second phone but how i do it on my current phone (iphone)????
Bit of context. I’ve told my parents i’m going to london for a couple days with my friends in June. In reality, we’re going on holiday to a different country. I’m thinking of getting another phone js to leave it in a train station, so it’s connect to wifi and tell my parents that i stayed in a hotel right by the train station. i’ve been messing with my life 360 for the past couple months so that it only works when im connect to wifi and NOT while im using mobile data. What should i do???

Is it supposed to lag?

My husband and I recently got this for trash other but it takes like 10 minutes for it to alert him that I've left work or home. Is this normal? Or a bug? We live in a high risk area, so we both like keeping an eye on each other.

Is there a way to see if someone turned their location off after the fact?

Currently using the free version and have considered upgrading many times. I'm wondering with an upgraded level if I can be alerted if someone turns off their sharing and if I'd be able to go back a day or two to see if someone has done that.

How can I make this work?

I am going on a flight that my circle is aware of, then directly after it I’ll check in for another flight that my circle doesn’t, and shouldn’t know about. I have a burner phone with life360 on it, and I don’t want to be tracked going to the other flight. I could take the burner phone back home, then head to the airport again. But the problem is I’ll miss my flight if I do that due to the extremely long drive back and forth.

I also have the option to leave my burner at my house, before going on the initial trip. But that means my circle will see that I haven’t moved from my house (they know I’m taking the first flight) and will know I have a burner.

I tried asking a friend to pick up my burner from the airport, and drop it off at my house. But my friend refused and I have no other friend I can trust to do this.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

(Please don’t suggest me to be honest with my circle. I’m not a minor, yet I still am unable to do that due to personal circumstances, I’m only looking for advice on ways to manoeuvre my way out of this situation. Thank you.)

Here’s a “Control” Twist

We have raised our physically disabled 18 year old granddaughter, and now, after graduation, she wants to move to a large city on her own. She is very smart, but not street savvy. She will be in a very nice apartment with 24/7 security and a person who will check in on her a few times a week. She gets around on a mobility scooter and weighs all of 80 pounds. We have told her it’s either Life360 or she’s not going. We are “spies, control freaks,” and ruining her life. Any suggestions?

Is my bf being weird on life360?

Life360 says he was "near" his house for 15hr 17min. Im confused why it wouldn't just connect to his wifi and confirm he was there...time frame 6:37pm-9:55am. Then the next thing it shows at 9:55am his drive starts around his block. Im starting to notice itll say hes at school "studying" for 2hrs near a location, then his GPS kicks on for his drive on the main street at the exact stop point of the last location. It also says his location is at his house since yesterday 8:37pm, but he's been other places since then...one location does not line up 1st location: "near" 11:09am-11:51am (doesnt show exact spot), 2nd location: exact location 11:49am-12pm (overlaps with 1st location). It will show irregular trips impossible diagonals thru a building that doesnt exist example a 33min trip thats a diagonal with the same stop and end point, that cannot be traversed. Then, Location ends at 7pm, randomly starts the next morning 10am when he starts his drive. Is there anything in what I said that holds weight as odd? I noticed his wifi connected to a random house after being near the gas station for 15min, and it sent me on a spiral. I know gps signals can be spotty but could this be suspicious? It logged him "near his house" 30hr 30min.

Not Getting Location Notifications

Hi, so I’m in two circles. I noticed I wasn’t getting notified when someone would come or go with my friend. She came back to our dorm and I didn’t even realize she was on her way back. It’s fine I guess, I just thought maybe it was on her end. And then two days ago I noticed I wasn’t getting notified when my fiancé was home or at work, I would only get the driving summaries. So I updated my phone to the newest update, still same issue. I updated the app, still same issue. I logged out, turned off my phone and logged back in, same thing. I logged out, deleted the app’s data from my phone, reinstalled it, logged in, same thing! And everything for location access/accuracy is turned on. The toggles for all places is on. I don’t know what else to do. Am I at the point where I need to delete my account and create a new one? Please help!

Notifications delayed after 5 minutes when circle members arrive and leave places

Has anyone noticed the notifications are delayed by 5 minutes in the latest update?

What causes this?

I'm an assistant manager at a conference center. It's a big place with a main building, a couple of out buildings, and a bunch of green space. It's in the country but cellular and data reception is pretty decent. We use life360 to locate employees across the campus, as they typically just show up to their department and clock in on their phone without always encountering their supervisor to check in. I know it's not the best use case for the app, but it predates my employment there and I'm not the decision maker to change it. Turning off location sharing is expected when you're not at work if you're not issued a work phone, which stays at work.

Following my circle throughout their day works well enough. We hired a new landscape maintenance guy a couple months ago. I could see him showing up at the main shed and starting his shift. I could see him arrive and watch him mowing back and forth across the various lawns and it seemed very accurate.

Recently, his location started seeming a little jumpy. For instance, he drove the work truck a couple miles to the gas station as he's done a number of times and life360 has been very accurate. This time the location history shows the trip out and back, except in the middle of the trip there is a straight line spike to a house a block away. The spike doesn't follow a road, it jumps through buildings and yards in a residential neighborhood, then right back onto the route. The same spike occurred on the trip back with two purple points at the same house and then back onto the route. The whole trip was about 30 minutes, which would be appropriate for running to the gas station.

This weekend he was on duty by himself and spent the day mowing. But his location would show in the main conference center for a few minutes, then jump a hundred yards out into the lawn. Back and forth between the building and the lawn over the course of an hour. When his icon was in the building, the normal drift would occur but on the lawn his location was completely still. Sometimes the jump would be a couple hundred yards to a lawn in the opposite direction. It just jumped from the building to a random spot in different areas, would sit perfectly still there for a few minutes, then back to the building. Occasionally it showed him as driving. Often no movement icon. It was the same lawns where I could see him driving the mower back and forth consistently a few weeks ago.

There have been some performance issues with him not getting his work done, and lately there have been rumors of inappropriate behavior on the clock. I'd like to catch him sneaking a toke. What could cause his location on the app to have become more erratic lately?

For the logistics, the main building has wifi that extends a good bit beyond the building itself and his phone is connected to it. He uses his personal iPhone and also has an Apple watch with a cellular plan.

How to skirt around life 360

I’m trying to do some final ring shopping at a store to pick a final rock for an engagement ring soon. We don’t track each other religiously but I don’t want to risk the chance that she looks at it randomly. Is there anyway for me to delete or not include myself for a portion of time to go and meet with these people?

(There’s really no BS excuse I could come up with for being anywhere near the area I need to be.)

I’ll leave my phone if need be, but wanted to see if there was another option.

I’m sneaking out and need to get around Life360

I’m sneaking out of the country to go to Ireland for a week, I have life 360 though.. how do I get around that? Should I get a burner phone? Worst comes to worst, I’m more worried about doing a trick, and my location accidentally reseting while I’m in Ireland…

App not showing Circle members trips

So my app has not recorded the past 2 trips as “finished” (showing the risky events) for one Circle Member.

It shows they are moving but is not completing the trips or showing me the speed. Google says Drive Detection is off but when I check, it says if Drive Detection if off it doesn’t show your location at all.

What is causing this?

Edit: I’m not getting notified that they have Low Power Mode on either. Usually it won’t update location when it’s on but I see the location just not the trips or risky events.

Life360 Speed Widly Inaccurate

I recently joined my family's Life360 and it's reporting my speed wildly inaccurately. To start, I'll just say that I'm a 40 year old woman who doesn't answer to anyone and have no reason to make this up. I am just the aunt on the account bc my nieces like to see my location.

This week it showed my top speed as 136 mph which is absolutely insane. I don't even think my car goes that fast and I'm a generally safe driver. I could see maybe hitting 90 if I'm on the highway and need to pass someone but generally even if I'm on the highway I'm usually going 5-7 over (maybe 10 if I'm not paying attention). I actually have a lot of driving anxiety so I'm pretty hyper aware of my speed most of the time. Other weeks it's shown me going over 100 too which is just not possible.

I've tried to rack my brain for any other explanations. Maybe it was when I was on the metro/subway but then I looked that up and those go max 75 mph. I haven't been on any planes or amusement park rides or anywhere else where my phone would get up to those speeds.

Does anyone else experience this or know what could be happening? It's not a huge deal but mostly I don't want my nieces who are also on the app to think I'm driving that fast or that it's okay to drive that fast. They're 20 and 15 and I don't want them thinking it's okay to drive recklessly or that their aunt is doing so.

Places

I don't know about anyone else, but I really wish the places option would allow you to "draw" the places boundaries instead of a radius selection. Like home for mine would need a 2000 ft radius, but then that covers over half the neighborhood plus our property. I just want it to cover our entire property. I'd also like this ability for other places as well, but home is definitely the most annoying one.
