LG messed up with their Gallery TV

https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-65lx7bpua-4k-uhd-tv

I was looking forward to this tv as the panel was looking promising but what were they thinking having the sensor visible in the bottom like that? It completely kills the illusion and now it looks like a regular tv with a frame slapped onto it.

Really unfortunate as Samsung could use some competition but if you’re looking for an art TV I don’t know if anyone would pick the LG.

🎨 What if your screen was almost indistinguishable from a framed piece of art, and also could change every day?
Astonishingly, we do have a product that satisfies all these conditions. It’s called exactly what we want it to be — the LG Gallery TV.

We’re hosting a small review program, where one Redditor will get the chance to bring it into their own space, live with it for about two weeks, and share how well it actually blends into their setup.
And yes, you’ll get to keep it after the review.

🖼️ What is a Gallery TV?
Designed to blend into your space like a real framed artwork, the LG Gallery TV lets you customize its look with magnetic frames (white or light wood). Gallery Mode is designed with input from museum curators to recreate the look of real art — adjusting color, brightness, and texture so it feels more like a canvas than a screen. A low-reflection display and automatic brightness adjustment help maintain a consistent, canvas-like viewing experience throughout the day.

Key features:
- Attachable Gallery Frame (white/lightwood, optional)
Slim & Seamless Wall Mount or Height Adjustable Stand
Customize frames and picture settings to your taste with Gallery Picture & Settings Mode (*update in May)

The experience goes beyond the hardware. LG Gallery+ is a content platform designed to turn your TV into a living part of your interior.
Instead of a blank screen, your wall can continuously change.
- Access 100+ artworks for free, or unlock 5,000+ premium pieces (National Gallery, MMCA, Magnum, and more) with an LG Gallery+ subscription.
Gallery curation matches your taste (auto-generated) -  based on season, topic, ect
- Includes art, cinematic scenes, game visuals, and animations
- Brightness sensor for optimized viewing environment and energy saving
So your space keeps evolving — even when you're not watching.
