Bored of Lincoln, advice?

I initially came to Lincoln for university before I dropped out. I've been here 4 years now, I feel the city has nothing else to offer. My hobbies are making clothing and going to the gym otherwise I'm too busy with work.

I feel I just see niche fun places constantly closing down and being replaced by vape shops or coffee shops. I just don't know what else there is to do in the city.

Rain! Blessed rain!

If anyone had told me a few months ago that at the end of August I'd be standing in my door enjoying the rain, I would have laughed at them.

But here I am... 😀

Odeon Lincoln

I go to the Odeon in Lincoln on my own fairly regularly, and several times have had the strange experience of a man booking the back row seat right next to mine, in an otherwise almost empty cinema.

He always unpacks two drinks from his back pack, that he usually consumes in turn, sometimes accompanied by him eating snacks from little grip seal bags.

I completely understand him going to the cinema alone- you sit in the dark, in silence, so it’s not that sociable an experience. I also understand bringing your own refreshments given the prices the Odeon charge- but in a screen with 150+ seats, when only 7 are taken, why does he frequently book the one right next to mine?!

What would you do to make the Cornhill Market more successful?

I was just reading about the council bringing in experts to work out why the Cornhill Market redevelopment has not been a huge success.

So I as wondering what would you do as a person living in or near Lincoln who uses the Cornhill bit of the city to make the Market building more interesting and busy and successful. Different use? Better uses? More of the same but better run? What's been the problem?

Lincoln - Skeg

The girls sat behind me en route to Skeg from Lincoln yesterday, thank you! Your conversations and piss-taking of pretty much everyone definitely made for an enjoyable chuckle-filled journey!

Is Skelly smelly?

I currently live in North Hykeham but am planning on moving to another area nearby. I've disregard Skellingthorpe as it's known as 'smelly Skelly'. But is it actually smelly?

Washingborough Cycle Path

Anybody know what the workmen are doing on the Lincoln to Washingborough leg of the Witham waterway cycle path?

I was walking down there today and they let me pass, but said that it's supposed to be closed off.
