Institutional money that has been sidelined since the beginning suddenly can use Litecoin’s reliability, speed, and low fees 24/7 for transactions. cLTC might not be for the common person to use, but institutions will gravitate toward the most trusted and reliable options. Litecoin is the chosen one.
Held LTC for years and still believe there’s a place for a coin focused on straightforward payments. That’s what interests me about LTC. The “silver to Bitcoin’s gold” comparison has never been enough of a reason for me to hold it on its own.
That belief is behind my monthly buys. I add a little manually and keep that LTC as a long-term position. I don’t expect the price to reward my patience every month, though.
Keeping a separate trading allocation gives me some flexibility while I hold. When the market moves sideways, there can be opportunities to trade the swings. I use bydfi’s futures grid bot for that part, setting a price range for it to trade within. It can still lose money if the market trends out of the range.
The split helps me stick with my longer-term view on LTC without making every short-term trade a decision about whether I still believe in it.
