From a production standpoint…

What was the reasoning behind casting an odd amount of guys vs girls? Also, big John Fergie fan here, but why was he cast on a show about singles when he was in a relationship?

Thoughts on the gay bar episode

Now let me start off by saying I’m not blaming the cast for this because it was most likely a production decision, as most things are on reality tv. But there is a serious epidemic of straight people going to gay bars just for funsies. A lot of people in the community have been talking about this problem lately. It’s one thing if you are straight and you go with your gay friend or something. Even if ONE of the cast members was queer it would be fine with me. But it seems like all of them are straight, and they really just wanted to go to the gay bar for the spectacle. Then they invited Parker and all his friends, and this is how it happens where the next thing you know the gay bar is overrun by straights. We have so few spaces where we know we are safe to be ourselves, and we can flirt and dance and meet other gay people. Parker or any of his friends could’ve been homophobic for all we know. Imagine going to a gay bar as a gay person and chatting with someone and asking if you can buy them a drink, and they say something like “ohhh nahhh bro Im not gay haha”, and suddenly you’re feeling a twinge of the old shame, even though you know you shouldn’t. It’s hard to overcome these feelings, and the gay bar is the one place we have. All of them flirting, making out and trying to have their straight hookups in the gay bar just really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Edit: not sure why my thread was locked? But this was my response to u/Sapiosexual2018 that I typed up and then couldn’t hit send on: Thank you for this super sweet response. It sounds like you were very respectful about it and that sounds like a great time. Like I said, it’s all about intent and doing things respectfully. One straight person in a group of gay friends just feels very different than a group of straight people inviting other random straight people, you know? Like, if one of them had brought an average height friend or family member to an LP convention, that would be very different than a group of average sized people without a little person deciding to go just because it would be fun. Marginalized communities deserve their own spaces where they aren’t at risk of being outnumbered or treated as a spectacle.

It’s a wrap!

Season 1 has officially wrapped!

The cast, crew, and production took this pic for the finale.

They are all hopeful ( we are too!) that there will be a season 2, but we most likely won’t know until closer to the filming cycle ( spring-ish ‘27) is when they should announce. ( maybe if we’re lucky, someone might leak us Information before that)

Personally, I’m hoping that they take a deeper dive into showing us more about the cast members, and hopefully introducing more of a storyline with friends.

What are you hoping to see?

Felt a lil twinge of tokenzation

I’m sorry but I felt bad for Jahmani not only because of how unforgivably rude JJ was to him, knowing he likes her and leading him on while pursuing someone in a literal relationship ship (could be a whole other post). They brought him in for a sports competition, they hype him up as their brother but I felt like he was as excluded from “inclusivity” all around as Krista was for a bit with those two girls (self proclaimed gurls girls, unapparent to any viewer worldwide).
Bringing in one Black guest for one competition segment feels like a diversity checkbox rather than genuine inclusion and it just felt a bit off to me in general just based on on serving his experience there- I obviously can’t speak for him and can be wrong.
Even in marginalized communities this exists and I think it’s worth wondering about. The moral character of the cast, as entertaining as the show could be at times made me wonder if they all have such a high level of self orientation that they actually kinda suck. There’s degrees to that but still idkkkk 😅

This is the best TLC show they have produced in a while.

I’m a total TLC enjoyer, have been keeping up with new shows every year since like 2008. This show is genuinely one of the most entertaining new ones they’ve made in a while. So funny and worth a watch! Idk if they’ve renewed for more seasons yet but please do!!!

❤️ This show

It’s almost like watching a real version of the show “friends”! ❤️ it’s funny, emotional, and they are genuine friends. It has a tiny bit of normal drama, but I am so tired of all of the other shows with extreme amounts of drama. It gives me too much stress! 😂

Finale Themes

I want to do themed food and drink for tonight's finale!! Please let me know any ideas. It can be based off the cast, location, or anything that has happened this season.

Thank you!

Krista gets ragged on by the girls for "dating around" but then JJ's in her own love triangle and it's rooted for?

Whether we like it or not, JJ and Stephanie are basically condoning and rooting for John to leave his girlfriend to be with JJ. If I were John's girlfriend, I would feel some way that he took JJ out on a "pretend date"...even if it was for a friend, that crossed a line because of the intimacy involved. I am not one of those people who think guys shouldn't have girls as friends and vice versa when they are in a relationship, but there is a boundary. There could be another person to take her out on this pretend date than a "taken" John.

Even though Krista annoys me with how she doesn't contribute around the household, I still think the girls are jealous of her with the amount of slander they have toward her. All of a sudden JJ gave her the cold shoulder, and both her and Stephanie were giving Krista the side eye because she went on one 1 date with Anthony, and then made out with Parker at the club. Krista is single, she can do what she wants. Then Steph explains her attitude as "well I don't want my friend Anthony to get hurt" when one of Anthony's first statements when he entered the house was "I'm surprised I got an invite from Steph because Stephanie never answers my calls" but Steph sure called him up then at the time to get Krista away from Sammy.

Then JJ gets in a little love triangle of her own when their friend she used to hook up with visits for the Dwarf games while she is encouraged to pursue John as well.... so her playing around and getting some is celebrated, but Krista is ragged on.

Then Stephanie has the AUDACITY to say " Krista had my back, finally, before the trip was over" because Krista turned down Sammy at the table when he tried to hit on her again in front of Steph. It's like B, once again, Krista originally had no idea you two were in a secret thing when Sammy started flirting with her and asking her out. Why wouldn't Krista go for it? In her mind, she is single, and he is single.

Does anyone else love Krista’s fashion style?

Say what you want about Krista, but I always love her outfit choices throughout the season/on her social media and the fact that she is so confident with herself 💓

Little Singles has been renewed for Season 3! (June 21, 2027)

Hip hip, hooray!!! Our zany LP's will definitely be back next season. I'm so sad there's only one episode left with no scheduled reunion or tell-all shows.

IN DEFENSE OF STEPH

Honestly without her the show wouldn't have been nearly as good. She brought the drama that the show needed. Her animosity towards Krista makes sense - even if in the Real World on Pen and Paper it's Not Justified - but basically I'm saying anyone who has ever been in a situation like that is lying if they say they wouldn't have felt the same way.

It has to be exponentially difficult to be filmed during what is supposed to be a fabulous vacation while you're having your heart broken in real time.

It's obvious she really cares about her close friends and frankly, her indifference towards those who aren't is pretty entertaining.

Ok princess. Sorry Millie.

Or when she said Jamani has his work cut out for him tonight after JJ gives an Oscar Speech to John at the dinner table. She's funny.

She's an accidental villain and I'm here for it.

I hope she comes back for season 2!

wait so does Sammy’s mom think he’s in love with John?

what was going on in this convo? lol does sammy’s mom seriously think he’s into john? hahaha i feel like i had seeing sammy be flirty w john and I feel like that’s why John gets weirded out a little bit, but I couldn’t tell if that was just in my head, but I feel like this validate it. how overly sexual do u have to be to literally feel the need to flirt with every single person around you. like what is up with sammy fr 😭

u/lilballerbabyyy — 6 days ago

Steph?! What? We cannot expect other people to be invested in your situationship like you are.

This literally just blew my mind. Krista did not know about their secret situationship before going on vacation; she is the new girl. Krista is trying to rectify the situation even though she did nothing wrong. And I think she is trying to be a good friend to Steph.

Steph is just throwing shade even though Krista literally just turned Sammy down. It's a backhanded compliment, essentially. Wtf, dude? As someone who tries very hard not to hurt people's feelings, I feel like Krista is in a lose-lose situation. Yikes. This made my blood boil!

I love this show!!

I found this show about a week ago by accident, and I can't stop watching it. I'm now fully invested. I had no idea little people threw down like this. Their wild! Love it!

Sammy I’m gonna need you to grow up bud. Take Jon’s lead.

He has the maturity of a 12 year old boy. The weiner jokes. “I know how to party”. Always making a spectacle of himself.

I feel like he makes himself the laughing stock.

Jon, on the other hand, is a gem.
