Littleton Livability Index

Littleton Livability Index

Good afternoon everyone!

I am working on a livability index for Littleton. It's a side project for me, but I thought some of you could have fun with it and maybe provide feedback. Essentially it creates a score for how well positioned your home/apt is compared to 6 metrics of closeness: coffee shops, grocery store, restaurants, nature access, transit, and healthcare.

I am still adjusting a lot of things in the background (open maps data is unreliable, so it's missing a lot of small places), so scores may change. The idea is that if you are someone thinking about moving to Littleton, you can check how close the house you are trying to buy/rent is to point of interests.

The goal is to give you an idea of how much you can do on a short 5-10 min walk/bike ride.

Clement fireworks 26’

With the fires and other cities canceling professional fireworks shows, I want to put this here in case they cancel the show, so if someone hears something, we can pass it along and plan accordingly.

Private Equity Buying Up Veterinary Clinics

I was listening to a PBS Newshour story about private equity firms buying out veterinarians' practices then raising prices, cutting staff, worsening care, and reducing competition.

The reporting included the story of a guy whose dachshund died after a private equity-owned vet missed his dog's internal bleeding because of a lack of continuity of care - and charged him $13,000 - so he started Private Equity Vet to track which clinics had sold out and to which investors.

The picture above is a map of private equity vets around the Littleton area - you can go to the site to learn more and get details about each vet.

Chatfield Reservoir paddle boarding

Has anyone gone paddleboarding recently? Where do you park? Looking at Google Maps, Platte River Trail parking is not a good spot this year due to drought. What’s another access point that’s good?

Hey Littleton, what are some restaurants that deserve some love?

Inspired by a similar thread I saw on /r/denverfood, what are some local restaurants that you think deserve some extra attention. I promise I will try them all!

T-Fiber

Hello all I noticed T-Fiber was avaiable in my neighborhood and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. They have a plan for $70 a month for 2gbps which is cheaper and faster than what I currently have through Xfinity but that doesnt matter if they have a bunch of problems.

Fireworks for sale

Since the city of Littleton and the surrounding areas allow fireworks to be sold, we must be allowed to use them, right?

Pick up soccer games

Looking to lace up for the first time in a long time. Are there any standing pickup games in any of the area parks that would be good for an aging former player?

Want to Be Slightly Employed

Hi friends! I have 25 years of customer service (many different capacities), and I am extremely friendly and welcoming. I am looking to work on Saturdays or Sundays just kind of sporadically to cover for others. About 13 of my 25 years were in veterinary medicine. Is there anyone who needs extremely part-time help? I’d love to be your person!

Kind regards,

Melissa

Another Drive-Thru Coffee Shop. Yay.

I was curious to see what’s going into the spot where Freddy’s was (Mineral and Broadway). The Littleton development site shows that this is going to be a 7 Brew drive-thru coffee shop.

Now I like coffee as much as the next guy, but we have a Dutch Bros and Black Rock within a quarter mile. Just seems like a missed opportunity IMO

Post-Apocalyptic PvP Combat Game in Littleton this Sunday! [FREE]

Hi Denver Gamers!

Our community game days around the Denver area have been drawing awesome crowds, so we are keeping the momentum rolling and bringing the action down to Littleton this weekend.

If you love competitive gaming, tactical strategy, or fantasy/sci-fi settings, but want a unique way to get outside, level up stamina, and meet people, you should come check out Colorado Jugger.

What is Jugger?

Think of it as a live-action, high-energy mashup of an objective-based PvP arena, rugby, and a post-apocalyptic action movie. Two teams fight to protect their "runner" so they can score a point with the game piece (the skull). It’s fast-paced, highly strategic, and relies heavily on team synergy. While it’s huge internationally (100+ teams in Germany alone), it’s currently one of the fastest-growing local combat communities right here in Colorado.

Why join the match?

  • 100% Free / All Gear Provided: We supply all the foam weapons (called "pompfen"); you just show up and play.
  • Zero Grind Required: Every single one of us started at Level 1 with no experience. If you can jog and swing a padded stick, you’re ready for the field.
  • The Lobby is Open to Everyone: We mix up the teams throughout the morning, making it incredibly easy to meet people and make new friends.
  • The Post-Game Guild Meetup: We almost always head to a local Littleton restaurant afterward for a casual social hour to swap stories from the field.

The Details:

  • When: This coming Sunday, 6/28/2026 @ 10:00 AM
  • Where: Robert F. Clement Park (7306 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80123) at Pavilion H
  • Bring: Water, athletic clothes, and running shoes (cleats are a huge plus if you have them).

Whether you’re a tabletop strategist, a hardcore PC gamer, or a casual athlete looking for a real-life battle arena (most of us are a mix of all three), there is a spot for you on the field.

See you at Clement Park! ⚔️🛡️
