Any suggestions for a fun place nearby to watch the match tonight?
Hi Livermorons, Happy 4th of July! Just wanted to be sure you saw yesterday's SF Gate article about what to eat, drink, do, and see in Livermore. It highlights some local business owners and has lots of complimentary things to say. Enjoy! https://www.sfgate.com/food/article/livermore-day-trip-22311660.php
Alameda County District 1 Chief of Staff Shawn Wilson admits to accepting $10k to “consult” for the disgraced Duong family and offer “sponsorships” on their behalf. The Duongs are currently under federal indictment for bribery and wire fraud along with the former mayor of Oakland in connection with their waste management company.
Wilson lied in the article about disclosing this conflict of interest on his form 700 as proved by county records. The press pulled the form and there’s no mention of the Duongs or their company Cal Waste Solutions.
Wilson offered me a bribe earlier this year to silence me about his office pressuring rural D1 residents into paid trash services under false pretenses. You cannot tell me these are unrelated and everything he’s been doing is on the up and up. Wilson admitted to me in his office that he comes from a trash mafia family. This guy is down to clown and everyone knows it.
Why is he not on administrative leave and why is our Board of Supervisors trying to silence the public instead of investigating??

The 3-2 decision by the Board of Supervisors followed the discovery that county surveillance data was illegally shared with the feds.
Hey folks, I’m one of several whistleblowers exposing the corruption within our Board of Supervisors. You may have seen articles and other posts recently quoting me after I went public about his office forcing unincorporated residents to pay for trash services under false pretenses and then trying to cover it up.
Shawn offered me what any reasonable person would understand to be a bribe: a “handshake” agreement with his office and the trash company to make a “charitable donation” for me using our discretionary funds conditional on my silence. The board has ignored multiple Civil Grand Jury reports about insufficient transparency and Shawn’s prior misconduct. 10 years ago they concluded that he has pressured county officials to approve permits and make land use decisions in favor of his buddies. The board did nothing.
I’ve received a settlement offer from the county but it’s not good enough. I want them to do what’s right and investigate.

We've had mixed luck dropping things off at goodwill, not even sure if they'd take a bag of stuffed animals. Any suggestions where I can drop off today?
Hey everyone 👋,
Does anyone know or have any recommendations for any bars/restaurants in Livermore that will be showing the Australia vs Egypt game tomorrow at 11am. Preferably a place that will also have the volume up on the TV. I have Australian family in town and they’d love to watch it at a lively spot if possible. Thanks! 😊
Hey I just recently lived in livermore and ive always wanted to explore creepy and awesome places to just relax and go with people or alone does anyone know where I can go? I live in springtown and have a bike by the way.
Hello all. I'm a reporter currently writing a piece on the allegations against Sean Wilson in his attempt to allegedly silence a resident's dispute regarding erroneous information relating to certain unincorporated rural communities to pay for Livermore Sanitation Inc,
I wanted to see if residents here have the original notice that was mailed out and would like to include it within the article. Of course, I would credit first name and city you're from or if you choose to remain anonymous, I can have that too. I'd also love any additional information or any personal experiences anyone has had regarding this discrepancy.
Thanks
It seems that many members of Alameda County (who are subscribed to the email list) received a strongly worded email from David Haubert regarding Wahab’s SB 1193. A few things have been made clear but it is still unclear who’s in the right. I currently understand the following:
- Wahab has been extremely NIMBY and continues to pass bills that are anti housing and make it harder to built as head of the housing committee.
- Haubert sent an email saying that Wahab is retaliating against the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for endorsing Hernandez (Hernandez is conveniently the Health Care Director for Alameda County and in the signed email).
- People have prior frustration with the Alameda Board of Supervisors and say they lean Republican / right.
- Certain nonprofits opposite it (SB 1193) but the list is still small right now.
Between Hernandez and Wahab, who’s the best option for November? Should we be concerned about SB 1193 limiting Alameda County’s self governance?
Any local spots to see fireworks? Ideally looking for a viewing spot that isnt super crowded. Thanks!
Hello, just what the title said. Thank you!

Any restaurants or bars in Livermore having a watch party for the Mexico vs Ecuador World Cup game today?
Hello all,
I'm an independent artist and returning student at Las Positas college. I'm presently taking visual art classes and plan to transfer to CSU East Bay within the next couple years and after that plan to teach art in some form or another.
Lately I've started to create collages from found media and some of my own black and white photo prints and would love to continue making more of them.
I've been struggling to source old black and white magazines, books, etc and would like to know if anyone here has any they wouldn't mind donating to me. I will be cutting them up and dissembling them so please be aware of this.
Thanks
My folks have a storage space in Patterson. It’s clear that they don’t need any of this stuff anymore, and I’m tasked with sorting the hoard. I’ll be keeping the few heirlooms and useful items, but the rest (mostly *really old* furniture and unremarkable sundry household items) will need to be distributed through donation channels, buyers of this kind of stuff, and the landfill.
I live in Berkeley, and I don’t have the space to process much through my home, so I’m looking to make the connections with the appropriate channels around Patterson/Modesto before I begin.
I know about the landfill in Crows Landing, but that’s about it. Can anyone recommend thrift stores, junk sellers, estate liquidators, or any other useful resources in the greater Modesto area, and up into Manteca, Tracy, and points west?
Hi everyone! I’ve been slowly getting back into hobbies and trying things that make life feel a little more interesting again. I recently started taking piano classes, and I’d love to be able to practice at home.
Since I’m still figuring out whether it’s something I’ll stick with long-term, I’m hoping to borrow or rent a keyboard before investing in one of my own.
Does anyone have a keyboard or digital piano they’re not currently using that I could borrow until the end of August? I’d take good care of it and return it in the same condition. I’d also really appreciate recommendations for affordable rental options nearby.
Thank you so much for any leads!
