I've had this idea for LDD characters for a while, and decided to finally draw them, tracing over real doll photos to get the bases. These are the Screams, inspired by 1960s Motown musical girl groups like the Supremes. Lucille Watkins literally sung her lungs out and would provide a new organ accessory to the pool, while Rhonda Day had the ability to make people genuinely lose their minds when she sang. Their costumes would be made of the same fabric type, while they have contrasting jewelry (necklace and earring) in different metal colors. I could have had both be screaming to fit the name better, but giving the two very different vibes felt like the best move for more interest as a duo--and I can't resist the sleeker, more modern sixties style and keeping Rhonda calm fit that look best.

LDD demonstrably has no interest in Black characters, so this is just one attempt to explore how they could have been successfully incorporated into a larger percentage of the cast.

I also have a few other unrelated design ideas I want to convert to this style and polish up too.

I recently made a monster high custom of bride of valentine! Im not super happy with how her face came out but i like how everything else came out!

Shes a g3 spectra doll base, everything handmade from her costume bag etc only thing that isnt is her boots are painted g1 frankie boots!

I had a bunch of dolls stolen from my basement a few months ago, including the two dolls above. I got all of them back except my porcelain Abigail, who was sold on eBay for a mere $95.

The police have been in contact with the buyer of my Abigail and discovered that she customized my doll. Fortunately though, she had an uncustomized Abigail she was willing to send me instead because her children were attached to mine.

Today, the detective told me the buyer changed her mind and was now looking to SELL the pristine Abigail for $250 and was likewise unwilling to give me MY doll back. The police local to her are not going to pursue the case any further.

I’m taking her to small claims court at this point. It’s really fucked up to try profiting off someone else’s misfortune and refusing to return stolen property.

Edit: The daughter got into contact with me and is very generously giving me the uncustomized doll for free. She’s a very sweet person and I’m glad we were able to solve this amicably 🖤

Just received a sealed in box dottie rose, when i took her out i noticed this really strange dust like substance just on her dress, I’m hoping this is just something to do with the fabric or dye deteriorating in some way. Wondering if anyone can help me understand whats going on here and i dont want mold to spread to my other dolls. I was just going to give it all a gentle hand wash but any other advice is appreciated, thank you.

Hoje finalmente eu recebi a minha Alison Crux 🖤 Eu já tinha ouvido falar que o cabelo dela as vezes tinha alguns problemas e o da minha está muito esquisito 😓 alguém tem alguma dica do que eu possa fazer para melhorar o aspecto desse cabelo?

I'm so excited, I just bought my first LDD after being a lurker on here for a while, because my birthday is coming up :) I thought this was a good deal (around £30) and I just love that she comes with a little cat and the concept of her being so allergic to the cat that it kills her lmao. Curious if anyone else has this doll or what people think :)

I got this Luna second hand on Ebay, when I got her she was sealed with plastic (sold as brand new) and I opened her to find her DESTROYED in mold I think!? Please any advice appreciated rn, this was a birthday gift to myself so kinda upset 😢 please be kind, thank you in advance 🫶

Depois de 897 lavagens 😆 finalmente o cabelo dela está legal! Eu tive que cortar e usar um ferro de passar roupas para ajustar as pontas. Fiz essa sessão de fotos, fiquei muito feliz por ela não ter ficado careca. Agora eu tenho uma Alison de cabelo liso, mas é melhor que nada 🤷‍♀️

I have all the clues from this one started back in 2016 or so except #8 which is Angus' and thought it'd be good to share! Across all socials, Goria's and Onyx's were posted in the WORST quality, ugh. But here they are! There's a lot of neat pics on the instagram, twitter and facebook pages of LDD.
