Just took my dog for a walk and saw them, fullerton and kostner (i know not exactly LS, but close)

inspired by u/flippingsenton, and now automated:

Talk about the goings-on in the neighborhood that you don't feel like making a new post about. Debate the merits of [over/under]rated taco place. Where's the best coffee? What shows are going on this week? Make friends! Just be kind and courteous.

is there any sort of email or form to complain about these people? not sure it'll do much but the amount of times these individuals, mostly the men, have tried to form narrow walkways and corner people in on the sidewalk is actually ridiculous.

the other day i was having a terrible day and on the verge of crying walking back from running errands (had on my RBF WITH tears in my eyes) when this woman in ALCU vest got in my way and asked "Are you a nice person?" excuse me???? I said "no not in the mood today" and she still continued with her spiel trying to block me on the sidewalk. i understand these people have to do their jobs, but they need to learn how to read the people they approach.

also, is there a reason why 75% of the PP solicitors/canvassers on the streets of Logan Square are male...? in what world would I donate PP money to a random man who's blocking the sidewalk and not just go directly through the organization? they don't say anything informative, they just block the way and try to ask for money...

Been real pleased with the new layout and location, but it feels like we have fewer vendors. In particular, we are missing out on some vendors I really liked from previous years. Rosie’s, Zeitlins, Empanoles, for example, as well as several baker and artist stands I remember are no where to be found.

Of course the Raclette stand is still there…

What’s the situation? Did the market raise fees? Is the new setup too small? Are all farmers markets in town dealing with lost vendors?

Hello folks - considering a rental that's above a business space on Fullerton Ave and Lawndale.

My two big concerns:

- noise on a major road (Fullerton)

- receiving packages when living above a business.

Does any folks here have a good idea if my above concerns are valid? TIA!!

Just went to the ravenswood manor garage sale this weekend. Got some pretty good deals on some stuff. I was wondering if we’re ever going to see anything that size in our logan square neighborhood. Or would it be too crazy?

Anyone else hear this person revving their engine super loud and racing down Diversey in the morning? I’d imagine that my neighbors love it as much as I do.

I know yall hear it. What the hell is going on with the constant circling helicopter(s?) this morning?

Hi everyone… this is kind of strange but I want to see if anyone else in the neighborhood has noticed this.

On cinco de mayo, my friends and I went to Taqueria Moran and were waiting outside to be sat when we noticed a man in a white van parked in the cozy corner parking lot. He had a bunch of junk tied to the top of his car and had his window rolled down and was just staring at the restaurant. We brushed it off initially, however we were there for 3 hours and the man did not stop staring or leave ONCE

Since then, driving past the restaurants I have noticed him in the exact same spot for almost a month. He is always there staring at the building and sometimes he leaves and then loops the block and goes right back to his spot.

I just wanted to see if anyone has noticed this

EDIT: bc it lowkey creeps me out and my worst case scenario mind tells me he is stalking someone or am i overthinking

Hi! About to move to Logan Square/Hermosa area and received a notice that I have to clean up the front yard area by the sidewalk or I'm going to be fined by the city.

Wanted to come on here to see if anyone has any independent lawn care people they work with! Would prefer to pay someone locally than a big business if I can.

I’m looking for a flavored coffee from a cafe that makes their syrups in house and doesn’t use the same bottled syrups as every other cafe. I know Avondale Coffee Club does but would like to know other options that are closer to me

Would anyone happen to know the right person or department to contact about concerns with the water in the Humboldt Park lagoon?

Over the last few weeks, I’ve noticed quite a few dead turtles around the lagoon, and I’m not sure who to report it to. I’d like to make sure the proper authorities are aware so they can check on the water quality and make sure everything is okay.

Hey neighbors, with the weather getting nice I’m looking for somewhere to get some shots up at an outdoor court.

Does anyone have good recommendations or locations? I’m fairly close to the Goethe, and I know they have a little court there, but the nets are missing. Anyone know of a pretty nice court?

Bonus points if other people playing pickup there from time to time.

Hello Loganites

My roomate and I are some mid 20s fellas looking for a casual soccer rec soccer league to play in. Skill wise we’re not looking for anything crazy; Just some people that like soccer and want to be competitive, whether they’re good or not. We are not collegiate level athletes

Ideally I think we want to join a league that plays regularly but it would also be nice to know about regular pick up games as well. If you are in such a situation, I would love to join you and hope to see you on the pitch 🫡⚽️
