Anyone have a good suggestion of a Mexican bar/restaurant in logan square where I can watch the second half of the FIFA game tonight?

I am well aware that per this subs history this is a common occurrence. This does not mean you should not shame people who act like this.

You guys are killing dogs. I do not know the stats on other animals, but this is the worst day for dog mortality and pet loss each year.

Our dog (despite being fully medicated) has spent every one of these past few nights trembling uncontrollably and hiding under our bed. I hope no one has a dog get loose tonight bc most will not return. I pray for any strays nearby, but am not hopeful.

And I’ve never taken the time to find a good group of friends. I’m 38M, Ive worked from home since Covid. I’m recently single and I was about to download bumble and I realized something… I ALWAYS DO THAT. I’m single, I get on a dating app. Spend the next weeks/months occupying myself with dates and eventually I get a gf and when I’m single I just do the same thing again.

Time to break the cycle! I’m a cool dude and I get lots of dates, so that means this should be easy… right??😬

So about me… I will mention I work a TON. Monday- Friday and I’m normally at my computer by 7am most days til 5pm. I run a sales team for a major company and I have 25 people that directly report to me. My team is amazing and love and I’m more mentor/therapist than boss. So they occupy a ton of my time.

But.. I feel like that’s my only identity, leader, boss… blah blah blah. I just want some cool people that wanna hang out, and do cool stuff…

I’m extremely into politics so if you’ve made it this far and you like Trump… get out, not interested. I’m extremely progressive and if you wanna talk about how we’re in late stage capitalism and it’s time to burn it all to the ground, let’s talk about it over a blunt!

I’m also at the gym or going for a run about 5 days a week. So if you’re down for a run on the 606 or looking for a workout buddy let me know!

Speaking of weed, I love it. I am smoking a blunt as I am making this! I don’t really care if you smoke or not, but it’d be super cool if you did!

Love music… I literally love something of every genre except hardcore death metal.

Im also kind of a nerd. I’ll kick your ass at Mario kart/party or some call of duty zombies. Also recently playing Baldurs gate (though one of the characters are named after my ex, and yeah I could get rid of her, but she’s my fucking mage!).

Anyone know what’s gonna happen to the Family Dollar on Milwaukee that closed in 2023? Not seeing any announcements for what it will be and was sold in 2023 to a developer. Not currently for sale either from what I can find.

Does anyone have any idea if/when they are going to reopen?

I'm looking to see if anyone is willing to show me how to make better videos using my smart phone? Or even point me in the direction of classes in person. Not looking for full length cinema but more like <30 sec social media content.

What’s going on! Looking to get back into paper Magic, specifically Modern and Commander, and was wondering where people are playing at! I know Dark Tower Comics and Prism are near by but haven’t stopped by during an event as of yet.

I have to admit, there was something uniquely Chicago about Lil Durk echoing across Paseo Prairie Garden.

That said, I couldn’t stop laughing when I heard the line “All headshots, we changing dental plans.”

My friend, in this economy?

Who exactly is even affording dental plans?

Most of us are one chipped tooth away from a GoFundMe and a six-month payment plan.
A crown costs more than my first car. Half of us are walking around carefully chewing on one side of their mouth because we’re waiting for open enrollment.

Also, it felt a little on the nose blasting Lil Durk from Paseo Prairie Garden. If Durk pulled up to Logan, he’d probably assume everyone was an op simply because they’re on a different block. Milwaukee? Op. Kedzie? Op. California? Definitely an op. Palmer Square? Believe it or not, op.

Meanwhile the actual neighborhood beef consists of people arguing about bike lanes, dogs being off leash, and whether a new coffee shop is part of the community.

Anyway, thanks for the soundtrack. I just found the dental plan line to be the least believable thing I’ve heard all week.
