Anyone else not able to view their classes yet?

I received the message saying I can now view my classes and even view the syllabi, but none of the classes can be clicked yet.
I went to the campus yesterday and asked about none of my classes showing (yesterday they weren’t even showing up at all), and the advisor told me “They haven’t found a professor for that class yet.” WHAT?! It feels like they’re cutting it really close.

Getting dropped from classes

I’ve never had this happen before and I’ve sent an email to the financial aid office to see what’s going on but I’m currently taking a summer II course so that might be the reason why but each time I’ve enrolled in classes for fall 2026 semester, I immediately get dropped for non payment, even though I have incoming financial aid (Pell grant) which will cover the total cost of my tuition so I’m very confused as to why the courses are being dropped when they usually will be held until FAFSA gets dispersed. In a panic now because all the courses i need are nearly full 🫠

Dependency override taking forever

i sent documentation for a dependency override back in early June and was originally given a pretty short window (7-10 business days) upon confirmation. when i followed up with FACC nearly a month ago, i got a pretty vague response about it still being under review.

last week i emailed the financial aid officer directly, but my request was just turned into a ServiceNow ticket and i'm currently awaiting an official follow up there

it is now 6 days until fall classes start. my financial aid status is still "applied," and i'm pretty frustrated, although i'm sure it could be due to the numerous other financial aid delays happening this summer.

this is a fairly niche question as i basically see nobody discussing dependency overrides here, but has anyone had to go through this before? are there still opportunities for registration after August 24?

How much would I have to pay after the inital payment to stay in the class?

As the title says im a little confused with how lone star payments go. Im looking to take some math classes here and transfer them to my 4 year uni but I have to make a payment in thr first 24 hours to not get dropped. Sure ok but I assume I would have to pay again but what would be the amount be after the inital payment? Im sure I'll only get rough estimates but any ideas from previous experiences would be helpful

In state, only on class, paying out of pocket no finanical aid atm because I need to change my degree plan so I can actually get my fafsa applied to Lone Star.

A&P I

So I didn’t do well on the TSI Math portion and I’m gonna have to take a remedial math class. I was wondering if I needed to pass the math portion to register for A&P I or could I take both classes in the same semester

financial explanation pls

hi sorry, i know everyone is going insane over lsc financial stuff but im genuinely confused as the school i transferred out of did not work in this way. they would take fafsa the day they said it was due and provide refunds within that week.

basically, my fafsa and loans cover my tuition in full and i should be getting a refund of around $4k but my account still says i have a balance of $1785. i assumed things would be done on the 1st of aug as payments were due, and then i assumed it was the 14th for fafsa/ aid disbursement.
help lol

PHYS 2425

I need to take this class online this upcoming semester to graduate, but after checking reviews, both options don't look great.

My options are:

- Alireza Akbarzadeh

- Dario Martinez

For anyone who has taken either of them recently for online lecture/lab:

  1. Lesser of two evils: Who is the better pick in terms of teaching style, workload, and fair grading?

  2. Exams/Proctoring: Are their tests/exams proctored/protected (e.g., Honorlock, D2L Lockdown Browser, webcams, in-person testing center), or are they open-note/unproctored?

Any feedback or tips on surviving either section would be awesome. Thanks!

Accounting Level 1 Cert Advice

I plan to start my first year at Lonestar either for the Spring 2027 semester or the Fall 2026 semester if I still have time, and I plan to get my certificate before heading into the workforce. I was wondering if I should take my core classes first (Already have Algebra through Onramps) or if I should just follow the checklist and start with the business classes. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Online Advising

HOW DO I GET IN CONTACT WITH AN ONLINE ADVISOR. I have emailed and submitted a service ticket. It has been like four business days with no response. This happens every time.

Mandatory Advising Hold

So i had a “mandatory advising hold” on my account and I have been trying to get it removed. I went up to the campus and they told me to email the advisor (which I had already done) and she would remove it for me. Early morning August 10th, she emailed back saying she removed it. It’s now morning of the 12th and the hold is still preventing me from finishing my registration. Anyone have any idea how long it might take for that specific hold to clear my account?

Professor Withdrawing from Classes - What can I do?

I was informed today that a Prof for 2 of my in-person classes has to step away this upcoming semester. They are trying to find replacements for these two courses but cannot guarantee it within this short time frame.

I moved to Montgomery for a new start and to take these classes in-person (i need these classes to apply to nursing school in december).

Has anyone experienced this, and what did you do next? Enroll in classes to secure spots? Pay a 2nd time for the same classes? Get a refund perhaps? Or does everything have to start through your advisor? (I do not have an advisor as I am a non-degree seeking student)

Dental Hygiene Program

I am planning to apply for the program soon. At the current moment I am completing my prerequisites + extra classes to complete my associates degree. With in hopes that would also help with my application. I currently have mostly B's and a few C's, in which I do plan on retaking the classes I have C's on. I was wondering if anyone was able to get in with A's and B's into the program? I would say that I 4 B's on my transcript so far :/
