What’s the verdict on the Pauline Camp? (Can I move or nah 🤷‍♀️)

I’ve tried searching for updated info on the Pauline camp move, but can’t find a straight answer.

After finishing chapter 7 or 8 (can’t remember which), I got a screen pop up about moving to Pauline.

From my understanding I could have chosen to move there at the time, but chose not to because everyone said they regretted it. There was something about finding so-and-so when I was ready to move eventually.

After reading more Reddit posts, I’m not sure if I was actually able to move after that chapter or not…but then why the notification ya know?

Anyway, now I see some folks saying they moved back in chapter 6, and others saying you can’t move until you’ve completed the game (main story).

With all the updates I think what may have been the case a while ago, might not be anymore, and that’s why there’s mixed info.

Can anyone clarify if you’re able to move before finishing the game? If so, is there a trigger or who do I talk too?

If it helps, I have completed most of the camp upgrades, the pond is currently in process, and I’m almost finished stocking the last of my silver donations to camp.

For extra credit-Does anyone know where I can get the cute outfit for Damaine as well? The cute skirt etc everyone has for her? Lol

The Abyss: when and how?

I'm a slow player. I'm an older guy and I don't get a lot of time to play. Fine with me, as they keep improving the game and I'm still in Chapter 5. I am enjoying the hell out of this game.

When do I go back to the Abyss? Am I supposed to just go there voluntarily? I did the quests at >!Scholostone that unlocked the boss fight with the crystal that flew around. I managed to Force-Palm it to death pretty easily. !<Fighting the controls was the most difficult part.

This sent me to the Abyss. I solved one big puzzle up there and then got back to the land. Since then I must have played 12 hours and nothing has sent me back to the Abyss. Maybe I'm missing something up there?

Is the player supposed to just go there and explore through it voluntarily, or is it part of the main quest? I'm trying to build up my camp and send my people out on missions. I just >!purified (or whatever the term is) two sanctuaries for the Witches. I have two more to go. !<Finally running into some stronger enemies.

Anyway, how is the Abyss supposed to work? Am I supposed to go up there on my own and just figure it out? Or is it better to progress through it as part of the game's quests? So far I'm not a huge fan of the Abyss parts. The platforming is just ok, and not very fun in my opinion. But I have better traversal options now.

Is the Abyss just an optional kind of labyrinth that I'm supposed to eagerly go through to find cool loot? Or is it story-tied? I see so may clips and images of people in the Abyss and so far it seems like a minor part of my game. The story doesn't make a huge amount of sense and there doesn't seem to be any urgency to go up there on my own.

Advice is welcomed and I thank you for it!

**New Additions**

* Added a slot to equip tools. * Certain equipment that was previously equipped in the secondary weapon slot can now be equipped in the tool slot. * Equippable tools: logging axe, mallet, shovel, broom, scythe, pickaxe, drill/chainsaw, fan * The tool slot can be found in the quickslot menu, below the secondary weapon slot. * Quickslots for masks and circlets have been moved to the 'armor' tab of the quickslot menu. * Using “Quick Swap” switches to the equipment in the slot that was previously drawn. * Added a Pond to "Howling Hill" and "Pailune Camp". * Complete the pond construction mission to build it at "Howling Hill" and "Pailune Camp". * You can directly release fish from your inventory into the pond, or add them through the pond management mode. * Having multiple fish of the same species will gradually increase the number of that species, at a rate that varies by species. * Use "Zoom In/Out" while in pond management mode to observe the registered fish. * Fish may die if the number of the registered fish exceeds the pond's capacity. * However, legendary fish will always remain in the pond regardless of the number of fish or their lifespan, and only one can be registered. * Legendary fish can no longer be sold, used, or discarded. Advice needed re: A.T.A.G.

Hi all. 204 hours in the game and still can’t wait to play it every day. I’m only just now exploring and completing quests in Delysia, and have unlocked the use of ATAGs.

At first I thought, “great. There’s a series of areas along the eastern coast of Delysia south of the city that are overrun and I get swarmed whenever I get close. Perfect job for the ATAG.”

However, in practice, it’s a little obtuse. As far as I can find, you can only get ATAGs in the northwest area of Delysia, and you can’t fast travel while in one. So, although it’s a little tedious, I get in and make my way slowly toward the eastern coast.

I. Can’t. Get. There.

Every time I’ve tried, I’ve A) accidentally stumbled upon an area where you can’t pilot an ATAG and it forces me out - even though I was careful to navigate around the red-highlighted areas. I also can’t get back in it and move to a safer area without it immediately chucking me out again.

Then there’s scenario B) I start getting pelted by EMP-like bursts that I can’t see coming and destroy the ATAG before I can get anywhere close to my destination.

So, respectfully, what gives? I’m not a particularly skilled gamer, so it must be something I’m missing, but I try not to google TOO much. Any help is greatly appreciated.

TLDR: I can’t really use the ATAG because it gets destroyed or chucks me out before I can get close to occupied enemy areas, and traveling across the island in it is very slow. What am I missing?

Getting the new Baby Wyvern!

  • The egg is behind the bismuth wall cave in the Wyvern's Cradle (Deleysia - WyvernFlames faction/Boss fight area)
  • Pick up the egg and plant it in the nest
  • Wait ~50 in-game minutes, and you get the prompt to hatch it

Does not seem to mount/sit on the character and just hovers - does make sense given the size

I have a question…

…I got into it earlier about the combat being “stiff, clunky, or broken” being folks excuse til this day to hate on the combat. I posted a clip to defend it with the title being “The combat is broken and clunky…” whilst showing basic stuff with the combat, and being in DISAGREEMENT with ppl who use that in a debate.

Now before someone jumps in the comments and says: “No one says that. I don’t see it.” or “said no one ever”, understand that just because YOU don’t see it often, it’s on the internet.

With this clip, does the combat look clunky and stiff to you guys and ladies? I really want to know if people STILL feel like that since we’ve had multiple patches addressing combat.
