I’m glad people like the remake but I’m kinda done with it for now. Infinite clip because I didn’t have a clip ready

I like the game, its graphic was great tho it’s kinda cheating since it’s ue5. Gameplay wise I think if you like reach then you will like fighting the covenant in this game. The flood are okay, tho pure forms encounters are like infinite hunters, which isn’t great on legendary. Artstyle wise? It’s the brand artstyle now so I guess it’s fine. I get why people hate the forerunner stuff, but I’m 4 fan so.

Content wise, the prequel mission are fine but felt rushed. Remix mode I wish was better but as it is, I could see it being a stable home mode gimmick thing.

In general the game is good just feels rushed, which hey that’s not new to halo. Unfortunately.

Grunt BBC?

Was reading Ghosts of Onyx and this Grunt won a file of BBC.

Is this something in lore or is it like the British Broadcasting Channel? I heard grunts did enjoy human media so just curious.

I like how they changed the “I don’t keep it loaded son” line in Campaign Evolved

Idk if it’s a commonly liked change or not I have seen a few people react more confused than anything but I actually think it makes a lot more sense. Keyes is a ship captain in the deadliest conflict humanity has ever faced, why would he not keep his gun loaded? If anything if I was him I’d have a shotgun on me at all times.

Halo Finally Got the Remake it Deserves

Hey all! I felt like I had to make this video to justify how I felt about the game! I really enjoyed the game and also making the video - hopefully you all might like it too!

Marine throwing plasma grenade?

I’ve never seen a marine do this before in any game, did they specifically enable the rescued marines in the brig do it or something?

Regarding the next Halo Remake

Since it seems there may/will be a remake for 2 and 3, I was wondering if its a good idea if the next one has Halo 2 and 3 together? Would this be a good idea? I think a good title would be Halo: Finish the Fight if that does happen.

For me I think it would work pretty well if the studio manage to pull it off. Having 2 and 3 together in one package with multiplayer(Hopefully) would be kinda sick.

Techically, MCC already fills that role but with respect, I love the originals, I put on countless hours into them in the past from the OG Xbox to now on the PC through MCC, they're getting old, especially Halo 3 my personal favorite. Its already been 19 years and honestly I do want one of my favorites also be fully remade.

Though I do prefer a new Halo game instead but having a remake with my personal favorite Halo game will still be intresting. Campaign evolve, yes has problems and has some questionable changes but overall, it is still faithful to the original and it gives some confidence on a Halo 3 remake.

Can someone help me understand the criticism of Halo Campaign Evolved’s Forerunner architecture?

It looks like Halo Infinite’s forerunner architecture that was praised for going back to Halo 1’s style. Now that they put Infinite’s style in Halo 1 it’s suddenly not okay? Make it make sense

The AR surprised me the most

I came into the remake assuming the AR will just be the kinda off looking classic ar model in infinite and balanced like it. But I’m actually surprised it’s a new model. The animations are from infinite but those looked good anyways. Gameplay wise it feels like what devs might have wanted the commando to be like.

Now only if it had a skin like the Mac world/5 green colors.

The Cinematic direction in Halo: Campaign Evolved

Were the cutscenes in Campaign Evolved mocapped, or were they primarily animated using other means? The cinematics have a very different feel from Halo Reach and Halo 4, and not really in a good way

To me, the cinematics don't have much direction or intentional camera work behind them. A lot of shots feel like they're simply capturing the characters performing an action rather than actually directing a scene

A few things stood out to me:

  • the overall art direction feels much more cartoonish at times, almost reminds me of halo legends

  • Character movement feels unusually slow and sluggish, especially during combat. There;s almost no sense of urgency in how the characters move, even when they're being shot at. Chief has moments where he's sluggishly walking and firing while sentinels are blasting him, rather than looking like he's actively fighting something dangerous

Compare these to Halo Reach or Halo 4, where those games had much stronger cinematic direction. Things like character movement, camera positioning, pacing, facial expressions (really bad in this remake), and body language were all used to actually communicate what was happening and how characters were reacting to it

That's what feels missing here, I'm not talking about graphical fidelity during gameplay, animations and cinematics just don't seem cool to me at all. Am I the only one getting this impression? Or are expectations really this low?

Ranking Assault Rifles from best to worst based on how good they are

Campaign Evolved: Completely busted. Laser accuracy, high damage, headshot multipliers and very high ammo supply

Infinite: before the nerf it was completely busted and even now it's extremely competent, with the campaign version being as strong as it was on launch

H2A and Halo 4: very similar and very strong. Both of them are absolute shredders at close range while being decent at medium range

Halo 5: at launch this thing was completely broken of course, but after the nerf the effectiveness was reduced. However the attachments and the high headshot multiplier makes it a competent weapon

Halo 3: despite popular belief, this gun is extremely accurate when you tap fire instead of holding down the trigger, as the accuracy cone resets very fast, making it very reliable on stripping brute shields at long range to assist a precision weapon. On multiplayer it's a good tool to quickly dispatch enemies in close range

Halo Reach: while not being as good as in Halo 3, you can still tap fire to maintain accuracy, with crouch decreasing the bloom. This weapon definetly struggles more on Legendary than other versions due to the lower damage however, despite that it can work if you are determined enough. Decently competent on multiplayer however

Combat Evolved: extremely strong yeah, but also extremely innacurate. Unlike other versions, tap fire does close to nothing to help the terrible spread this weapon has, and using this weapon on Legendary definetly makes for a challenge. On multiplayer it's way better with the quick camo tech though

Halo 3 ODST: Despite looking identical to Halo 3, the weapon has received a significant nerf in it's tap fire accuracy due to the accuracy cone resetting slower, this also comes with the fact that every bullet weapon in ODST has HALF damage against shields. While still usable it's easily a downgrade from Halo 3

What changes in the Halo 2 and 3 campaign remakes are you looking forward to the most?

While I’d much rather we get a continuation of Infinite’s story, it’s clear this is the route they’re going for and I’ve enjoyed Campaign Evolved so far so what are your hopes for when they get to two and three? To name a few, I hope the Earth sections are expanded upon since there was a lot of cut stuff from Halo 2’s development due to the time crunch. Maybe even a playable version of the E3 demo. I hope Arbiter has a more prominent role in 3 and they rework the Cortana sections. One thing I hope they keep however is the Forward Unto Dawn landing as an in game event rather than a pre rendered cutscene, I don’t think it would hit the same otherwise.
